I was pretty blessed with my friends. We weren't the typical group, my best friend Addison and I were inseparable, but then she met Jacob and I knew I needed to expand my social circle. Cassidy, Addison and I had always had fun together. We had girls weekends, we went to bars too often, and we picked up a combined total of too many guys.

I was pretty lucky Cassidy's friends welcomed us all with open arms. Her friends Tyler and Jackson were both really cool, and Tyler's friend Daniel had just begun tagging along.

They were just our go to, of course on outings we had the others, Zoe, her boyfriend Brad, Cassidy's sister Katie, and a few of Tyler's friends Jarrod and Jamie.

I loved being apart of this group, being 21 and living my life freely with zero responsibility. We spent most of our time at Cassidy's place, which she shared with Zoe, Brad and two other guys Ben and Marcus. It was the party house for sure and we all hung out almost every night.

I was the only one with somewhat of a responsibility. Sure, we all had jobs we went too, but I had my university degree to be a nurse, as well as my two jobs to support me through. This got pretty hectic and meant I didn't always have free time, but fortunately the time I had I spent doing things every young adult does with their friends.

I had just finished my second year of University, and we had a festival this weekend. We were all camping together and sharing a giant tent, if we can work out how to pitch it.

I nominated Tyler to drive our car, since I don't do well focusing with a hangover. I don't know who the others nominated but it's just Cassidy, me, Tyler and Jackson with us. Jackson had a bit of a thing for me, something I could never have reciprocate. We met at a bar before I knew he was Cassidy's friend, and when we reconnected through her it has been an awkward unrequited love ever since, then he began working with me and we managed to become good friends and get over it, despite his feelings still being there.

We pitched the tent and began drinking the alcohol we snuck in, barely even eating a meal before heading to the club for a big night. We stayed out til 6am and got little sleep, me between Cassidy and Tyler in the tent.

We got up a few hours later and got ready, the girls in barely any clothing with the most over the top makeup possible. We headed off after having too many morning drinks to prepare ourselves.

We set off to the festival, the first of the year. We drank all night and when the last act came on, Tyler threw me on his shoulders since I was too little to see anything. I was very drunk walking to the club afterwards, but we got in and we once again stayed out all night, Tyler dragged me back to the tent in the morning and we all helped pack up.

I made Tyler stop for breakfast on the way, he wasn't happy but he knew we wouldn't get through the drive without it. I went back to Cassidy's place with the boys and crashed there because I was still too drunk the next day for my parents to see me like this. The four of us crashed in Cassidy's bed and I woke up practically stuck to Tyler because of the lack of space.
