Chapter 4: No Survivors

I awoke in a helicopter. Then, the memories of what happened played in my head.

Doc: Your awake.

"How's Cora."

Doc: I'm sorry. I did all that I could've, but she lost too much blood.

Seriously? I'm the last one. The only person alive. This is my fault. I sent them in the basement, and I was too slow to save Grinch.

Doc: How are you?

"Fine."

Doc: You don't seem okay.

"I wonder why."

Doc: Listen, it's not your fault.

"I'm sorry Doc, but this is all my fault."

Doc: Nonsense.

"No. Where's Cora?"

Doc: She'll be dead in five minutes. We don't have enough blood to save her.

"I'm going to see her. Don't follow me."

Doc: I'm sorry, w-

"I said don't follow me."

I went back to where she was and closed the curtain. I activated my ability, and started to cover her in ice. 5 my minutes passed, and I removed it. Left there was a perfectly fine and healthy Cora. I went back.

Doc: So, how is she.

"Perfectly healthy."

Doc: What?

"Check."

He went back there and stopped, seeing a once mortally injured recruit unharmed.

Doc: I don't understand.

"What?"

Doc: How did you do it?

"I can't disclose that information."

Cora rose.

Glacier: What happened?

"You're alive."

Doc: I don't know how, though. Also, you're cold.

Glacier: I do feel quite chilly.

"A side effect. Noted."

Glacier: Oh, hi Subzero.

"Thank god you don't remember."

Glacier: Oh, I do~

"Come on."

Jäger: We're at Hereford.

The helicopter landed shakily. We were met with Six and Buck.

Buck: How'd it go?

"Glacier and I are alive."

Buck: What about the rest?

"... "

Buck: I see. Sorry.

"I need to go to the dorm."

I walked down the stairs and opened the door to the room. I remember my bunk mate. I was too late to save Grinch, but at least I saved Cora.

Glacier: Are you okay?

" *sigh* no."

Glacier: Vent to me.

"I could've saved at least Grinch. I was 3 seconds too late. I saw them just sitting there... I'm gonna kill every single mask, no matter what."
