Raven method:
You kind of do what I mentioned in my previous chapter, except you have a character physically pull you into the reality (Ie. Dean Winchester grabs my hand) after you've been in a 'waiting room' of your own making (Ie. my bunker bedroom)
It can be effective, just depends on you.
Alice in wonderland method
You meet your character in a meadow of by a tree and have to chase them. You follow them into a rabbit hole and watch as your room and furniture fall away. Then you land in your world.
This can be effective, just depends on you.
When shifting some people use shifting specific music, I know it's there and can help limit distractions, however I've never used it.
