Chapter 11: Dance Floor

Mew approached me and handed me the bouquet of sunflowers. I was hesitant to accept it but when I noticed that everyone inside the room was waiting, I had no choice.

"Thank you," I bluntly said without looking at him.

"Wait, why do I see some chemistry between you two?" a designer asked.

My eyebrows furrowed because of his statement. What chemistry is he talking about?

I smiled in a fake way.

"Do you guys know each other?" the floor manager asked. "You guys look so perfect. And why the flowers? Are you guys together?" He eyed us.

"Of course they're not together. Maybe he just likes Gulf. A suitor perhaps?" said the main designer.

How dare you! I wanted to raise an eyebrow at him because of what he said but I did not want to throw a fit. I did not want to be rude. Grrr.

Mew just smiled at them. I chose to ignore the topic.

"Anyway, thank you for buying all the clothes that Gulf wore. I'll have them delivered to you ASAP."

"No problem. I liked all the designs." Mew now directed his attention to the main designer.

A cute male model approached Mew, a reason why everyone's attention left me.

"Can we take a selfie?" the guy asked.

I rolled my eyes. Good thing no one saw me.

Mew nodded and smiled at me. The guy immediately took his phone out. Mew put his arms around the guy's shoulder before they took a photo.

Tss. I rolled my eyes once again.

"Excuse me," I said as I passed between them to leave the room. The guy gave me an angry look.

I started to walk towards the parking lot.

I was silent but my eyebrows were crossed as I stormed the hallway. I can't stand being in the same room with Mew. It makes me pissed off. Just seeing him pisses me off. The pain from the past just keeps coming back. How he made me look like a fool before just keeps coming back.

I don't care what they plan to do there. I just want to leave this place and be at the bar where the after party will be held. For sure, Hughie is already there waiting for me.

As I continued to grace the parking lot, I felt that I was being followed.

I pressed my car keys and my car unlocked. I was about to get in when someone held my wrist.

It was Mew.

I angrily pulled my hand from him but his grip was tight. I failed.

"Let me go," I said coldly.

Now there was no hint of any emotion visible on my face. I made sure of that.

"No. Not unless you agree to talk to me," he said, hopeful.

"I won't repeat myself again, Mew. Let me go."

"Please, Gulf. Just listen to me," he almost begged.

"Like I told you yesterday, we have nothing to talk about. So let me go now. You're hurting me." I said those without showing my true emotions. The truth was, my knees already felt weak.

I tried to pull my hand again, and this time, he let me go.

Frustration was now all over his face.

What is wrong with him?
