When morning came, Sophia awoke to the great aroma of bacon and eggs. She ran down the stairs, only to see her mom on the phone, again.

    “Morning, mom!” Sophia exclaimed.

“Ssssh,” Sophia’s mom replied. Sophia ran to the table and started eating. She was able to make out her mom saying: “Of course...” “Really, that would be great!...” “Thank you so much! Goodbye!” Sophia’s mom ran to the kitchen table.

“Sophia, great news!” Her mom exclaimed.

“What is it?!” Sophia questioned, excited.

“I got offered a job as a surgeon! And the best part is, they pay $230,540 a month!”

“Oh my gosh! That’s great! I’m so happy for you!”

“Sophia, but there is something I didn’t tell you...”

     “What?”

    “The job...”

“Just tell me!” Sophia said, anxiously.

    “The job is in Washington.”

The wish! Sophia thought, Nah! Just a coincidence! It has to be! Washington isn’t magical!

“Sophia?” Mrs. Burke asked, “Are you okay? You’ve just been staring at me for a couple minutes.”

“I’m fine,” Sophia replied, “I’m absolutely fine.”
