Silvent City

"Hi, I'm gonna need some skills before letting you through." He said. "GO Elecktrike." Feeling confident, Play selected Rookidie first. He wanted to get the disadvantages out of the way first.

"GO Rookidie." Play said.

"Not a very wise choice." Bouncer David said. "Elecktrike, use scratch."

"Use hone claws." Play said. Rookidie took the scratch, but if it could get one more hone claws, then it's accuracy would be impeccable.

"Use it again." Play said.

"Use scratch." Bouncer David said. Rookide took another hit, it was ready!

"Now use peck." Play said, growing in confidence.

"Dodge it." Bouncer David said. It was no use, it was hit. Elecktrike was hit in the side and it clanked to the floor.

"Once more." Play said. Elecktrike was knocked out. The bouncer nodded. Now were the dance tiles. It was a 3x3 grid. Play stepped on them all around and then stepped on the one in the middle. They all glowed green. Play was let through. It was now that he saw the bottom floor of the gym, was actually a disco. Several people danced nonstop, there was even someone with a rubber horse mask. The next bouncer was the same, except he had red hair.

"Do you have moves in the disco." He said. "Let's see your battling first. GO Elecktrike."

"GO Rookidie." Play said. "Use peck." Rookidie's accuracy had already built up.

"Use spark." Bouncer Jed said. "Quickly!" Elecktrike shot a spark at Rookidie, which knocked it out of the air.

"Get up and use peck." Play said. Rookidie raised it's head up and stabbed Elecktrike in the leg.

"Use spark again." Bouncer Jed said. Rookidie blocked it with an amount of rapid scratches

Rookidie: Moves: Fury attack learned

Elecktrike used another spark. Rookidie was tired out form learning a new move, because it fainted.

"Rookidie, return, Piplup GO." Play said. Piplup came out, waving it's flippers.

"Use bubble beam." Play said. Piplup caught Elecktrike by surprise. It was thrown the floor.

"Use bubble." Play said. Elecktrike was lifted into the air, and it crashed to the floor, resulting in it's knockout.

"Elecktrike, return, Mareep, GO." Bouncer Jed said. "Use cotton spore." Mareep launched it's cotton, to which trapped Piplup in place.

"Now use charge." Bouncer Jed said. Piplup was battered around, as it couldn't move. Play suddenly had an idea.

"Piplup, use pound." Piplup grabbed the floor and lightly pulled itself out. Mareep used charge once more, and Piplup stuck to it with pound. It was hurt, but it held on and damaged Mareep enough to faint it. Both Piplup and Mareep were knocked out.

"Those were some impressive moves." The bouncer said. "I will have to take note of them." The next grid was a 4x4. Play used the same strategy, but he nearly slipped off one of the tiles. He put his right foot down on the middle on. They all glowed green, and Play was let through to the gym leader. This was the most important part of the gym. There was a man with dirty brown hair, seated at an enormous blue glowing seat, he had matching blue headphones, and a black torso jacket, with a white shirt. He seemed to be the DJ. Play was about to turn around and look for the leader. When he looked up, he started to talk.

"Hello, My name is gym leader Chad. I like to give my club the reputation of being hard to beat." He said. "NOW, get ready for the drop."

"Shinx GO." Chad said. Play was nervous, he only had two Pokémon left.

"GO Mareep." He called.

"Shinx." Chad said. "Use thunder shock."

"Use cotton spore." Play said, remembering bouncer Jed's. The cotton spore was zapped and lay there, twitching about with power. He suddenly remembered what the Pokédex had said. Shinx put it's forward legs on the wool. It electrocuted, Shinx, this only seemed to make it more powerful.

"Use thunder shock." Chad said. The same affect worked on Mareep, it only made it more powerful.

"Use tackle." Play said. Shinx was hit, and it leapt back.

"Oh no!" Chad whispered. All of his Shinx's moves were electric type.
"Shinx, return, Pikachu GO." Chad called. "Use iron tail." The impact was powerful. It knocked Mareep out in one shot. Play now had one Pokémon left.

"Mareep, return, Nidoran GO." He said. Chad smiled, now he could use Nidoran, so that's just what he did.

"Use thunder shock." Chad said. Like Piplup sometimes, Nidoran took matters into it's own hands. It started to attack. After being hit by a thunder shock. It glowed blue. Through the blue, it got bigger, it's ears became more jagged, and spikes grew onto it's body. The blue went away, and Nidoran was now a Nidorino.

An aggressive Pokémon that is quick to attack. The horn on its head secretes a powerful venom, it is harder than diamond. If it punctures an enemy, it pumps powerful venom into the wound. It raises its big ears to check its surroundings. If it senses anything, it attacks immediately

Nidorino flew forward and slapped Shinx with mud.

Nidorino: Moves: Mud slap learned

Shinx fainted.
"Shinx, return, GO Pikachu." Chad said. "Use thunder shock."

"Dodge, and use poison sting." Play said. Nidorino seemed to absorb the lightning into it's horn and stab Pikachu.

"Now, USE CHARGE BEAM." Chad said. A ball of electricity built up in front of Pikachu, then a powerful beam of it shot toward Nidorino. Hitting it dead on, this looked like the end. Pikachu wouldn't stop either. But Nidorino opened one eye. And charged forward with mud slap. Knocking out Pikachu in the process. Play's heart leapt. His first ever gym battle, won. Chad seemed impressed.

"Well done." He said. "Maybe I should have played a different beat." Play looked down at his brand new Nidorino, it grinned at him, it was now his most trusted and most powerful Pokémon.

"Well congratulations on your victory, It is my pleasure to now present to you your first Gym Badge, the Arc badge. I would also like to give you this TM, it contains the move charge beam. As you saw it is a very powerful electric type move. But it weakens attack every time it's used." Chad handed Play the Arc badge. He walked out of the gym, were Jed and David gave nods of approval. When he was out the gym, he gave a cheer, and jumped high into the air.
