„Technoblade!"

I snapped out of my trance.

Tommy was violently shaking me.

»that flashback.....it reminds me....my family?...."

»this all is too familiar for me....«

I sighed.

„you okay man?"

„Yea, I'm fine, I just spaced out here a bit"

[Y/N] Pov:

Sapnap and I were walking through Manberg.

Apparently the new president re-named it.

Sapnap told me that most of the people, who are currently living here, don't even like him, but they're too scared to do something.

It's pathetic if you ask me, but nobody asked for my opinion, so I'll keep my mouth shut.

After all, I have a mission to accomplish.

„Hey [Y/N]?"

„Yes?"

„Why haven't you smiled once since you arrived here?"

„Why should I? There's no reason to smile."

„But we got to see each other again"

„Yeah, but L'Manberg is going down, our friends got exiled, the flag burned down, the people who just left me behind are here. How can you expect me to just walk around smiling?....I once tried to just smile no matter what, and let me tell you, it was a living hell."

„I'm sorry..."

„It's fine, it's not like anything of this is your fault."

„Yeah....." he looked away

„What? You never did anything wrong, so why do you look away as if you're feeling guilty?"

„Maybe I'll tell you about something I did in the past one day"

„Okay?"

He yawns „I have to bring you to the president now, let's hope he likes you"

„Mhm"

we kept walking until we arrived at an white and big building

„We're here. Good luck [Y/N]"

„thanks Sapnap"

He waved as I walked into the building.

Quackity saw me and went over to me
„[Y/N]! What Are you doing here?"

He smiled at me

„Sapnap brought me here, I am supposed to talk to the president"

„Huh? Why that?"

„I am moving to Manberg if your president allows it"

„Really?! That's so cool! We can be in our friend group again"

„Mhm"

I just kept walking while Quackity keeps talking about something, but I wasn't listening.

I opened the door to the president's office

„Schlatt?"

„[Y/N], welcome" he smiles and opens his arms

I went to him and hugged him „you're the one behind all of this chaos?"

„Yeah, but don't worry, I have a plan. Everything will be fine" he hugged back

„Why Are you back so suddenly? And where have you been the past years?"

„Exile"

„[Y/N], we got  exiled  from these  lands. We aren't  allowed to be here anymore. We're sorry honney" my mother looked down to me

„But why mommy? Why do we have to leave?"

„Because daddy got in some trouble, and the King wasn't happy about it"

„Can't we talk to them? Maybe we can stay! I don't want to leave Eret, he's my best friend, he'll be lonely without me!"

„I know sweetie, I know, but we don't have a Choice"

„Okay mommy....I will pack, can I at least say goodbye to Eret?"

„Of course sweetie"

-skip to the next memory-

„"[Y/N]! Nick and I had an great idea!"

„Oh, hey Clay! Hey Nick! What's your idea?"

„We could run away! We could leave this hell hole behind!"

I stopped walking „what?"

„We could run away!"

„But what about our families and friends?"

„Well....they'll stay here, not all of us can run away"

„But That's wrong! I won't leave without them"

„[Y/N] we can't take everyone...."

„Then go without me if you really want to. I will stay here, I don't want the others to suffer even more"

„fine then.....if that's what you want, goodbye [N/N]....]

They started running away while I remained silent

-skip to another memory-

I stared down at the huge lava pool infront of me.

It was hypnotizing, those beautiful colors.

It seemed to call for me.

I could jump.

There wouldn't be any pain anymore.

I could see my parents again.

Everything would be better if I'm dead.

I smiled.

I let myself fall forwards.

»goodbye«I closed my eyes

A hand grabbed mine

-flashback end-

Schlatt hugged me again

„[Y/N]?  Are you alright?"

„I'm fine.....just a few things that went through my head"

„Alright. Let's get you a home, hm?"

„Sounds Good"

A/N: this was the most emotional chapter I have written on this entire book, it's the longest too.
