Well Dearie, Will you pay magic's price?

A new...friend?

Gold and Severus walked out of the court room to meet up with Lucius and Sirius, but as they were walking they heard a voice call out from behind them. "Severus, Mr Gold! Wait a moment!"
The men turned around to see Barty Crouch Jr jogging after them. Once he caught up to them he spoke immediately. "I want to help you."
At his words Gold raised a brow in surprise. "You want to help?" Severus asked, shock clear on his face. "You don't even know who he is or what he's doing and you say you want to help."
"My cousin, Pandora, was born with the ability to see and hear things invisible to ordinary people," Barty started. "but when she spoke about those things everyone called her crazy so she decided to only speak about them with me."
Unsure were this was going Severus went to ask but was stopped by Gold placing a hand on his arm.
"She didn't just randomly choose me though. Since I was young I have always followed my instincts and they never steered me wrong before."
"And those instincts are telling you to stick close to me?" Gold asked, curiously.
Barty looked nervous for a moment but composed himself before nodding to Gold.
"Will you let me help?" he asked, practically begging with his eyes. Gold huffed before replying "Well, go home and pack your things then. And pack as if you're never returning." Barty's eyes lit up. "Ohh, Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!" he chanted before running to pack.

When they made it to Lucius and Sirius, Gold turned to Severus. "Go on, ask already!" He snapped impatiently. "I'm not going to harm you for asking questions!"
"Why did you let Barty come?" Severus asked, curious but wary. "As far as I can tell you have no need for him."
"What can I say. I have a soft spot for children who's father's throw them to the wolves." Was the only (slightly sarcastic) reply before the group walked to the floo.

They were just about to leave when another voice called out, this one less well received.
"Severus! How could you do such a thing?" Dumbledore's disappointed tone was heard but ignored as they continued walking but the old man didn't give up. "Helping known death eaters stay out of Azkaban? I'm disappointed in you. I thought you had changed."

"Where you even listening in there or does your beard cover your ears?!" Sirius yelled at Dumbledore, gaining the attention of those around them. "Those that we're released didn't do anything against the law! Just being a death eater doesn't mean they took part in the illegal activity that some of the death eaters revelled in!"

"Sirius, my boy..." Dumbledore started before Sirius cut him off.
"I am not your 'boy' you old ba..."
"Mr Black!" Lucius cut in. "As entertaining as it would be to hear you cussing at Dumbledore, there are children present." At that, he gestured to a man and his two 3 year old sons, twins from the look of them, watching the scene. The man in horror and the boys amusement.

As Dumbledore looked where Lucius gestured, the group hurried into the fireplace and floo traveled to Malfoy Manor.

They are now at Malfoy manor about to explain things to Sirius and Lucius.
Sorry for not updating, I'm just not sure how to get the story to where I want it to go.
