The tales that so long ago seemed out of a movie, were revealed to be truths. Werewolves were no longer figments of imagination. Nor were any other fantasy creatures. They were as real as you and I. But...there exists one more world. One which was created by the greed and pride of humans. It created creatures that were the source of fear in storytelling to children. The sounds of these creatures were heard in the night. A reminder that the world had changed and a new one had surfaced. However, society had adjusted and implemented systems. The government had created organizations for the new threat. "Enforcers" was the name given to individuals who would train to specialize in keeping the monsters at bay. This system would prove its worth for years and gain the reputation it has today. Humans and werewolves learned to exist together and continue living in a society just as humanity had done for centuries by themselves. And so did I. But this new world was bound to learn another story. One filled with envy, hatred, jealousy, love, joy, and passion. ************ Pained gasps left my mouth as I lay on the bed with the heavy corpse on top of me. Blood trickled down the sides, staining the sheets red. My hands, which still held the knife tightly, trembled. It was hard to breathe. The mass on top of me was crushing me down. I tried to push it off me but to no avail. I was getting more tired by the second. My vision became hazy and my limbs started to get heavier. There were now multiple footsteps thundering down the hall. They were coming closer. "Captain Lycus!" My vision had abandoned me and I felt myself shutting down. I let out a sigh of relief. Rest. Finally. The weight on me vanished and warm hands touched my face giving sparks of electricity. "Derick, call the paramedics." "Yes, Sir!" "It is going to be ok, My Angel. Hold on. You are safe now and forever."
