Secrets - thirteen (H/N/T/P)

NOTE: Sorry for the delay! Been busy with family stuff lately. Bare with me!!

Also, I hope you like this chapter. I was in a writing rut in the past week and this is what I came up with!

CHAPTER THIRTEEN

When you're too in love to let it go

Haley sat on the edge of the bed with Penny, who was still sobbing freely next to her. She continued to rub her back for comfort, not knowing what to tell her. She just caught glance of Danny the other day when she first met the band. She knew of Penny’s history with him, but finding out what he had done…she knew Penny was devastated.

She looked around the room; the bed was neatly fixed—the housekeeper must have came by earlier—but when she looked at the floor with a backpack and duffel bag sitting next to the bathroom, it already hit her that she was in Nathan’s room. There, over his closed duffel bag, sat his white beats headphones. The room even smelled like his cologne, but she didn’t know which brand it was…

“Hales?” She turned to Penny in full attention. “You know I love you, and I know you have a lot of questions, but…can you bring in Tom for me?”

“Not…Jay?”

Penny sniffled. “Later. Tom knew Danny best and first, so…”

“Right. Okay.” Haley stood up and exhaled breath. Calmly, she walked to the door and placed her hand on the knob. Just as she was about to twist it open, Penny spoke to her again.

“Don’t forget to breathe, Haley.”

Haley smiled to herself. Penny knew her well enough that she was a huge Nathan fan. She turned back and saw Penny smile softly at her. “Got it, Pen.”

Finally, she switched the doorknob and opened the door slowly. She found all five of the guys scattered in the large suite living room, looking at her. She stepped out of the room and closed the door behind her.

She gulped and made her way to Tom, who was sitting on the couch with Jay. His hazel eyes bore into hers; she tried her best not to blush. “Uh, Tom…she wants you to go in with her.”

“Oh, okay.” Tom nodded, “What about Jay?”

“She’ll see to him later.”

Tom looked at Jay, who nodded an okay. “That’s fine.” Jay replied.

Tom slapped a hand on Jay’s shoulder and got up. “Thanks Haley.”

Haley watched him go inside Nathan’s room, and heard the door click closed. She was now alone with four members of The Wanted. She was already okay with Max, but being in the same room with one of her favorite bands still intimidated her.

Nathan stood with Max and Siva in the kitchen, watching Haley stand near a moping Jay. He watched her make light conversation with Jay, then made her way to the corner near Jay’s room, where she sat by the window, alone. If he wasn’t staring at her for so long, he could have probably already asked her a question he’s been meaning to ask.

He felt himself being pushed out of the kitchen floor, which broke him out of his daze, and nearly toppled over a stool.. “What—” He found himself nearly tripping over a step. He looked back at Max and Siva, who both gave him cheerful faces.
