Part 16

Hey guys, I'm gonna start typing in an actual story format, not just dialogue. Hope you like it.

KAYLA'S POV

'Your hand fits in mine, like it made just for me. BWut bear this in mind, it was meant to be.' I wake up to my phone alarm going off. The next thing I know Lexi is jumping on the bed. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAYLA!" I jolt up in the bed, realizing that it's my birthday. Then I realize that Peyton isn't next to me. "Where did your brother go?" I ask. The next thing I know Peyton walks into the room with a tray, awe! He made me breakfast in bed. "Awe, you made me breakfast in bed." I say. "Yeah, it's your birthday, you don't have to worry about doing anything today, I'm going to do everything for you." Peyton says. Awe he is so sweet, I have the best boyfriend ever. "What did you make?" I say. It smells so good. "I made you pancakes, bacon, and hash browns. With ketchup, I don't understand why you like ketchup so much, but I have that on there for you. And orange juice." Peyton says. He remembered that I like pancakes and ketchup, awe! he cut the pancakes into hearts. "Thank you, this is so sweet." I say, then I start to cut into the pancakes. "Did you eat anything?" I ask Peyton. "No, I was going to eat later." " No your not, come sit next to me, we can share." I hope he doesn't say no, because I'll be sure that he stays. It looks like he was gonna say something but then he just sat down next to me. I hand him a piece of bacon and he gladly excepts it. Then we finish the food an he brings the tray back down stairs. I get out of bed and walk over to my suitcase. I don't even know what he has planned, so I have no idea what to wear. I walk into Lex's room, maybe she knows what I can at least wear. "Hey Lex, can you at least tell me what to wear?" I ask right when I walk in the door. "Yeah, here I'll come help you pick something out." She says as we walk out of her room and into Peyton's room. When we are done picking out my outfit we go into Amelia's room and she does my hair and make-up. "Hey Kay, I'm gonna go tell Peyton to just stay downstairs until you are done. Emma, can you continue?" Amelia says. I'm really happy that she is helping me. She even bought me these shoes that I'm going to be wearing. Emma continues on my hair. -Kayla walking down the stairs-

I'm really afraid I'm going to fall down these stairs. The only thing that ishelping me focus is Peyton at the bottom.When I reach the last few steps, like a gentlemen, Peyton offers me his hand. "You look really beautiful." Peyton says. "You could do better." I say in a joking voice, but then he looks a little worried. "I'm just kidding, you look very handsome." "Are you ready to go?" He asks me. "I guess, I don't know where we are going." I say, kind of hoping he will tell me. "I'm not telling you." Dang, am I that readable? He puts his arm around my waist and we walk out to his car. Then he opens my door and I get in.

-Driving to what ever the place is-

"So you're really not going to tell me where we are going?" I really want to know, I hate surprises. "Do you really want to know?" "Yes! I hate surprises and you know that." I know he's not going to tell me, but a girl can hope. "Just look out the window and you will see, we're here." I look out the window and I'm speechless, I see this little restaurant. "What all did you plan, knowing you this isn't the only thing that you planned." I say. He just chuckles and helps me out of the car. Then we walk into the restaurant, and the hostess brings us up a lot of stairs to the roof. "Pey, why are we at the roof?" I ask, I should have brought a jacket, I'm getting really cold. "We are here, because this is where we are eating." He responds. Then he helps me to the table.

-After dinner, in the car going back to Peyton's house-

"Alright, can you please tell me what your next surprise is? Wait why didn't you turn down that street, that's where your house is?" I ask. Why is he pulling over? "Can you put this blindfold on? I know it sounds weird, but I don't want you to see your next surprise." I don't agrue and just put it on.

-At the place, Kayla and Peyton are walking up to the door, Kayla is still blind folded-

"Can you tell me where we are now?" I ask. "Nope sorry, but I can take the blind fold off you now." He says as he unties the blind fold. "SURPRISE, HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAYLA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Oh My God, he threw me a surprise party. I'm going to kill him later. "I can't believe you threw me a surprise party!" I say, trying to sound like I actually like surprises. Hey look it's my cousin Alex. Wait, Alex? I run up to him and give him a huge hug. "What are you doing here?" I can't believe he is here. "Peyton invited me, by the way, that dress. Where is the rest of it?" Alex says. Nice to know he still acts like my big brother. "I'm seventeen now, can't I have a little freedom, Big Brother?" I really hope he is still alright with me calling him big brother. "Glad to know you still think of my as your big brother. Seriously though, where is the rest of that dress?" "Alex, relax I'm not going to do anything stupid. I just wanted to dress up. It is MY birthday after all." Hopefully he will forget about all this now. "Kayla, can I talk to you?" That sounds like my mom. I turn around and it is her. "Mom!" I say as I hug her. "Well I'm glad to see you too. Now why did Alex tell me to tell you to change, I love that dress." My mom says. Now this is why I love my mom. The next thing I know my arm is being pulled by Alexa. "Hey, is this what you couldn't tell me about?" I ask. "Yep, do you like it?" Alexa says. "Yes! But why don't we actually go and dance, I feel like dancing." This party has really changed me.

-After an hour of dancing-

"I'd like to thank everyone for coming! For those who I met tonight it was very nice meeting you, those who I know and love, thanks for coming to Atlanta to celebrate with me. I'm really glad you all could come. Have a safe ride home." I can't believe I'm saying this, but this is the best surprise I have ever gotten. Which is saying a lot, considering I don't like surprises. I go and say goodbye to everyone. Then I go and sit down by Peyton, which I haven't been able to since we got to my party. "So did you have fun?" He asks while putting his arm around my waist to bring me closer to him. "Yeah, but I just noticed, we haven't kissed all day. Have we been that busy?" "I can change that." The next thing I felt was my boyfriends lips moving in sync with mine. After, what I am sure was, five minutes of nonstop kissing I start to feel real drained from today. "Hey Pey, can we go home," I yawn, "I'm really drained from today." "Yeah, happy birthday beautiful." I always blush when he calls me beautiful. I get up to start to walk out the door, but Peyton scoops me up and carries me out the door bridal style. Could this day get any better?

- Back at Peyton's house -

"I had a lot of fun tonight." I tell Peyton as we are walking up to his front door. "I'm glad you did, but I have one more surprise for you." He says and I start to worry again. "Don't worry, you know how you have been saying that you have wanted to get a puppy from the shelter. Well my gran, Emma, Chloe, Amelia, Lex, and I adopted one for you." Did I hear that right? He adopted me a dog! "Are you serious?" I say as I open the door and sure enough, a puppy runs up to my legs. I bend down and pick her up, then I turn toward Peyton and give him probably that biggest hug ever! "I love you so much! Thank you!!!!" "Well I'm glad you like her. Everyone is inside if you want..." Peyton starts to say but I just run into the house and thank everyone for the puppy. "You're welcome sweetie. I'm glad you like her!" Gran says. She is like the best grandma that there is. "Guys we would love to stay and talk, but Kayla is really best from today. She needs to get some rest." Peyton says. "Yeah, I suppose I should, I really do mean it though. Thank you so much for the puppy." I say as I sent her down to take my heels off. I didn't realize how much my feet hurt until I did. "Goodnight everyone." Peyton and I both say as we walk up the stairs. I couldn't have asked for a better day, I got to spend the day with the bestest boyfriend ever, I got to spend my birthday with my cousin and mom, and I got a new puppy! Which she followed me up the stairs and jumped into bed with me after I changed into my pajamas, looks like Peyton is gonna have some competition now.
