CHAPTER 2

HES OUTSIDE MY HOUSE

"Skye!" my mom called from downstairs. "Dinners ready!"

"I already ate mom, I'm full!" I called, not sure if she heard me since I was being a tornado in my closet. My laptop sat on my bed, the screen showing Jen being a tornado in her closet.

"Make sure you eat later!" mom called. I picked out a purple sleeveless dress and walked over to the laptop.

"This?" I said holding it up to the camera. She walked over and jumped on her bed, her face close to the camera.

"Oooooh! thats nice!" she said her eyes widening at the sight. "When did you get that?"

"Last year," I said turning away from the laptop and placing the dress on my bed. "Remember prom?" She gave me a little nod. "Well yeah, I was supposed to wear it then, but mom bought me the red one. I didn't want to let her down so I didnt wear this, and wore her one instead."

"Well tomorrow would be a good time to wear it," she said getting off her bed and heading to her closet. "Do you have shoes?"

"These black ones?" I held up a pair of black heels.

"Those would do, but they're too plain," she scrunched her nose and held up a pair of black heels with silver rhimestones on the side of it. "You shall wear these babies."

We always shared our clothes. Nearly half of the things in my closet were hers and the same with her closet, half of the clothes you'd find are mine. But it didnt matter because she lived across the street, and if she needed something she would just come over and get it. Even if im not home.

I laughed at her last statement and started picking the clothes up off of the floor, putting them away neatly.

"Can I borrow your black ones for my dress?" she asked. She held an aqua blue dress to herself, looking in the mirror.

"Do you even have to ask?" she smiled and started grabbing her clothes off the floor too.

"By the way I can see you in your room," she said. I turned around facing my window, and I could see her in her room across the street, giving me her oh so beautiful pedophile face. I laughed and made my way to the window.

I started to close the curtains in my room, when I stopped suddenly. I scrunched my eyebrows, trying hard to think.

'Where have I seen this man before?' I thought to myself.

I hid behind the curtain, which was no use because he was looking up directly in my room. My heart started racing when I realised he was the same man from first day of school. His face was covered with a black scarf, and only his eyes were to be seen. Then I realised we were staring into eachothers eyes.

"Jen," I said, not blinking. I was hoping she would hear me and rush over to her laptop. Hearing no reply, I called louder.

"Yeah?" she said.

"Can you walk over to your window." I could see my laptop from the corner of my eye, and I could see Jen was sitting with her legs folded on her bed. She was staring at me, wondering why I was hiding behind the curtain and looking like an idiot staring outside.

"You look stupid," she said, her face blank. I blinked the tears away from my eyes after staring at that man for so long. I ran to the laptop, grabbing it off my bed.

"Jen!" I said little angry at what she had said about me looking stupid. "Just look outside!"

"Alright," she got up and moved to her window. I didnt want to look outside anymore. Those eyes, looking straight at me, sent shivers down my spine. "What am I looking at?"
