Carter and I were spending the day with Luke. Luke and I both agreed that Carter should spend time with his parents together- and Carter was excited.

First, we were taking him to Build-A-Bear then maybe do another fun thing. Then later, 5SOS has a show so Carter and I are going with Luke.

"Come on Car, we gotta get dressed. Daddy's gonna be here soon" I grinned, getting him into his clothes- shorts and a Nirvana shirt that I knew his dad would approve of. He just giggled and wiggled around,

"Okay, go watch tv" I lightly patted his bottom, making him run off- me taking this chance to pack the diaper bag for the day.

Luke texted me once he got here, so I grabbed Carter and we walked down to the parking lot.

Leaned against the black Porsche, was Luke- sunglasses on, his black skinny jeans tight on his legs. He looked good.

"Daddy!" Carter squealed and ran to Luke,

"Hi buddy!" Luke lifted him up and held him. I reached them and Luke side hugged me, then opened the back door and got Carter in his carseat.

I walked around the car and as I went to open the passenger door, Luke had already beat me to it,

"Thank you" I smiled and got in, him closing the door once I was seated.

We got to Build-A-Bear and Luke parked before we all got out. Carter went to take off across the parking lot, but thankfully Luke was fast enough and grabbed Carter's arm,

"You can't do that buddy. There are lots of cars and you could get hurt" Luke knelt down. My heart swelled seeing that in Luke,

"I'm sowwy" Carter let out a small tear,

"It's okay. Just don't do it again" Luke sighed and stood, taking Carter's hand. I tossed the diaper bag on then took Carter's other hand as we started towards the store.

"Woah!" Carter's eyes widened as we walked in. Luke and I let go of his hands and let him walk over to the wall of all the different bears he could stuff,

"Get whatever you want," I told him. He giggled and then carefully observed his options. Carter ended up grabbing a light brown bear and we headed over to the stuffing machine.

The girl at the machine looked up and she gasped, eyeing Luke. Luke smiled at her then she turned her attention to Carter,

"Hello. Let's stuff your furry friend" she smiled, taking the bear from Carter and hooking it to the machine,

"Can you step on that pedal for me?" She asked Carter. Carter nodded and stood with both feet. Luke held under his arms, ready to pull him off when his bear was done.

We put the heart in the bear and got it stitched and moved to pick clothes out. Carter was very indecisive. Luke laughed and stood back with me as we watched Carter walk up and down the wall of clothes,

"Indecisive. Must get that from his mother" Luke smirked. I rolled my eyes with a laugh and nudged his arm. Luke smiled and tossed his arm over my shoulder- making me freeze immediately,

"S-sorry" he stuttered, his arm almost immediately pulling away. I hesitated, but grabbed his arm and put it back. I saw him smile then relax his arm,

"Mommy! Daddy!" Carter yelled out, jumping in his spot and pointing up to the wall. Luke and I made our way to him, Luke's hand on my back under the diaper bag,

"What is it bubs?" I asked, feeling Luke tense again- the nickname I just called Carter triggering it.

"Dino" he giggled pointing to the dinosaur pjs. Luke bent down and lifted Carter so he could grab it then we moved to the table and dressed his bear,

"Let's go name him" I smiled and walked to the computer,

"What's your bear's name Car?" Luke asked, holding Carter on his hip,

"Snuggles" Carter hugged his bear. Luke and I stifled a laugh, but I nodded and typed it in, then printed the stuffed bear's birth certificate.

Luke put Carter down as we checked out. I went to hand the lady my card, but Luke grabbed my hand, handing her his card instead,

"It's fine Tay" he assured as I glared at him. I sighed but nodded, handing Carter the box with his bear, taking his free hand as we walked out.

"Mommy" Carter whined, tugging my hand as we were about to step into the parking lot. Luke and I both stopped to look at him,

"My picta" he spoke. I laughed and let go of his hand, pulling my phone out,

"Okay, smile," I told him. He cheesed, holding his box up as I made sure the sign was in the picture,

"Why don't we get your bear out?" Luke told him, opening the box and handing it to him. Carter smiled again and I took his picture. As I looked at the pictures quickly, Luke picked Carter up, then grabbed me, pulling me to him,

"There's paps taking pictures. We need to get in the car Taylor"

I nodded to Luke and we hurried to his car, all three of us climbing in and leaving quick,

"Did they catch us?" Luke asked. I went to Twitter, sighing when I saw it already there,

"Luke Hemmings spotted leaving Build-A-Bear with ex Taylor Harkey and a kid" I read,

"Well shit" Luke sighed, running a hand through his hair, "I'm not embarrassed or anything by you all. I just wanted to work this all out without the media"

"I know Luke. But I knew that the media would be involved. It's okay. And you don't have to say anything about Carter until you're ready" I told him. He nodded, sending me a smile.

We went and hung out at Luke's house for a little bit before we headed to the venue 5SOS was playing at.

When it was showtime, the boys took the stage, and Carter and I stood to the side with Crystal and KayKay. Carter had little noise-canceling headphones on- but he could still hear the boys playing. Carter was loving every minute of it. He was jumping all around and dancing. I will say, I missed watching them on stage.

"Okay, so we're gonna play an old song- one we particularly hate, but someone very special loves" Luke spoke. I knew what it was,

"This is Don't Stop!" Calum yelled and they started to play. Carter gasped and looked at me- even at two, he knew what song it was.

Luke looked over halfway in and just started laughing watching Carter dance,

"Okay, this is cute. They might actually like their song again after this" Crystal smiled.

Towards the end of the set, Carter was getting tired. I was now holding him as he rested his head on my shoulder but still looked at the stage. He just kept yawning as I swayed back and forth,

"He's almost out" KayKay laughed. I looked down at him and watch him keep forcing his eyes open,

"It's okay Car. You can go to sleep" I kissed his head, adjusting how I was holding him. And just like that- he was asleep and the boys were coming off stage,

"Damn, are we that bad"
