Chapter 14

Songhwa didn't remember much, how she rejected Seokhyung on her birthday. She just said that she liked someone else at the time. He understood. But Songhwa knew, if she confessed to Ikjun on his birthday and if they got together after that, Seokhyung may will get hurt. She planned to talk to Ikjun about Seokhyung, so they could find a way together. But again, that was what she planned. Of course fate didn't go with it.

And now, twenty years later, she still couldn't find any words to tell about her and Ikjun to her best friend. And now it's not only Seokhyung, but Junwan and Jeongwon also need to be considered. It's not that because they had something to her. It's just after twenty years of friendship they's re somehow become a family. They were just like the three brothers she had, even she's more comfortable with them than her own. Of course Songhwa never consider Ikjun as a brother, how could i consider Ikjun a brother if i like him. Well that's what her thought.

In this Sunday morning, this guys is asking what is Ikjun doing in her apartment. She's still not ready to tell them. She gives a glance to Ikjun to not telling them about their relationship. But seems like Ikjun is frustrating after being confronted by them.
"Ya ya ya, he crashed here last night. He slept on the couch there. See! It's still messy. Can we stop now ?"
This three boys immediately looking at the couch in the corner of her living room.
"what do you mean ?" Junwan asked.

"He told me he met Simok sunbaenim yesterday"
Now Ikjun's eyes widened looking at Songhwa to see where this conversation will going.
Songhwa can feel the vibes from the three of them is more calmly than before. As she took some plastic bags from Seokhyung's hand.
"What did you guys bought ?" Songhwa tried to divert their attention.

"Simok sunbaenim ? Do you mean Hwang Simok ?"
"Your first boyfriend ?"
"Oh so you met Simok sunbaenim ? I remember you two play baseball together, didn't you ?" Jeongwon turns to Ikjun to asked him. Ikjun's eyes still leading to Songhwa, but she turns away.
"Yes, i met him yesterday" Ikjun walks to the couch while folding the blanket.
"What was he doing here ?"
"He said he moved to Wonju, and he was just spent his weekend here, so yeah i thought why didn't i came here to see him and maybe a short visit to Songhwa too" Ikjun is trying to connect his story and follow Songhwa's scenario to distract them, but he's still took a glance to her like he sends her a message, yaaa, where should i go with this story ?

"So the three of you reunited?" Seokhyung asked her again as he and Junwan took a seat on the floor while helping Songhwa to take out the drinks and snack they bought from the plastic bags.
"No, yesterday Ikjun met Simok sunbae by himself." Songhwa answered.
"Did you also meet Simok sunbae ?"
"Hmmm" Songhwa nodded without looking at them when Ikjun added.
"They've just celebrated Valentine Day's together" Songhwa immediately looking at Ikjun, while the boys's eyes on her. Songhwa raised her eyebrows as she and Ikjun exchange glances just to ask why he mentioned that again. Ikjun smiled playfully while she pursed her lips as she wished to punch him now.

"Mwo ?"
"Jjinja ?"
"Is there something going on between you and Simok sunbae ?"
"Aanniiyaaa... yaa Lee Ikjun, i told you before we've just had dinner as a friend."
"Is he married?"
"Not yet. Wait why are you asking that ?"
"Well if you're planning to go back together with him, i'll support you" Junwan's words shocked Ikjun the most as he's glaring at him.
"Why ?" Seokhyung's getting more curious.
"I think he's the only decent guy you dated in the past. I mean he was not cheating on you, and you guys broke up just because he got assigned abroad."
"Geumanhae, let's just have breakfast, ok ?"
The boys now in silent , and Songhwa didn't want to discuss this any further as she steps back knowing it's time for breakfast.
"i'll bring the foods here, you guys haven't eat, have you?!"
Junwan, Seokhyung and Jeongwon shook their heads simultaneously while Songhwa smiled at their silly face like kids asking for food to their mother.
