Second Chance

Chapter 3

They're finish the band practice in one session. While Jeongwon cooks ramyun for the gang, Ikjun calls Uju and Seokhyung went out to buy some coke.
"Guys, does anything happened with Seokhyung?" it's unlikely for Junwan to ask something like this, it means he observes.
"Why?" Jeongwon asks him back while arrange the table
"Seokhyung is too quiet, i mean, he always like that, but lately he's like in another level of his solitude."
"Never saw that coming from you Kim Junwan" Ikjun interrupts him, after calling Uju, he's back.
"I asked him already if something happen but he said he will tell us later. We should just let him be" Songhwa chimed in.
"Yes, just let him be. He'll tells us later" Ikjun agrees with Songhwa.

When Seokhyung's back, they's start having dinner together. Seokhyung is finally told the gang what's happening with him recently. That his ex-wife is suddenly show up in front of him.
"Since when ?" Junwan is not the kind of person who observe and analyze too much, but when he knew something's happening he couldn't help but curious to know more about that, even though sometimes he deny it and doesn't want to involve in someone's else business.
"Christmas. She asked how am i doing after knew that Chairman Yang was dead"
"She didn't come to the funeral, right?" Jeongwon asked him too.
"Yes, she didn't. But i prefer that. I don't want her to be the attention of people. After Chairman Yang left, the gossip about inheritance is up around. I don't want people to gossip her coming and linked her with that."
"You're really still care about her. Are you sure that you've already get over her?" Songhwa start to concerns with Seokhyung as he looks sad while mention about his ex-wife.
"I'm sure. Hahahaha..Geokjeongma"

"Waaahh, some people from the past comes recently to our circle. Is this a year to rebuild relationship with old flame ?" Junwan feels like to summarize today's story.
"What do you mean?" Jeongwon is now who clueless.
"Shinhye appears after almost three years divorce  and today Lee Yuna also shows up at the hospital"

Suddenly Songhwa feels her body freeze, as she looks up at Ikjun, he doesnt has any reaction or even surprised, she guesses Ikjun knew about this, and maybe they met already.

"Aaahh Yuna. Hey Ikjun have you meet Yuna already?"
Ikjun just nodded.
"Yaaa what happened in Spain ?"
Jeongwon, Seokhyung and Songhwa look at Junwan and Ikjun and pay more attention to this question.
"What happened in Spain?" Seokhyung now is the one who curious about Ikjun.
"Nothing happened in Spain. We met in Spain because she also has Symposium during those week in Germany and she visit Spain to shopping before going back to U.S."
"So you two went shopping together ?" Kim Junwan is really introgating him in smooth way.
Ikjun start glare at Junwan for asking non-sense like there's something going on between him and Yuna. Ikjun didn't realize that Songhwa is being silent during this conversation.

It's 9.00 p.m Ikjun is ready to go home and Songhwa follow him while Jeongwon is waiting for Junwan who's still busy on the call with his girlfriend 'bidulgi'.
"Hey, we're leaving"
"Bye guys"
Jeongwon walks with them to the parking lot, as he still need to ask Songhwa related with preparation for conjoined twins surgery.
"Songhwa-ya, you will be in Seoul until the surgery, right ? If you're back and forth between Seoul and Sokcho you will get tired" as Jeongwon raises his concern. Songhwa confirms him that she will stay in Seoul until next week Feb 12th. As the surgery schedule on 10th, she thinks she still need to be here for checking and follow up after surgery to make sure everythings good.

As Ikjun drive Songhwa home, they didn't talk much. Songhwa mostly being silent like she has a lot of thought in her mind.
"Are you tired ?" Ikjun can't help but feels Songhwa's mind is not here and going somewhere.
"Hmmm,, little bit. You must be tired Ikjun-na"
"Not really. I'm tired before, but no i'm good after Uju said he's waiting for me before he sleeps"
Songhwa smile after hearing that, looking at Ikjun, she knew he's tired but his facial expression really genuine when he mention Uju.

Deep down, Songhwa is curious, she wants to know how Ikjun can meet Yuna in Spain. Did they communicate often that she knew he has Symposium at Spain during those days? Why Ikjun didn't mention about this after coming back from Spain? Do they still keep contact with each other? Songhwa knows that they're really good friend with each other, but she realizes when their relationship is bothering her during college day, it's not different with how she feels right now.

"Songhwa-ya... Songhwa-ya." Ikjun called her several time because she looks like she lost in her thoughts. Songhwa startled.
"What are you thinking?
Songhwa still gather her thoughts before until Ikjun finally said "we're arrived Songhwa-ya, are you okay?"
Songhwa look out and just realizes that they already arrived at her apartment.
"Aahh sorry Ikjun-na. I must be tired thinking about surgery for the Twins."
"You should get some rest, you can start practice tomorrow. Also, you're not alone doing this surgery, don't handle everything by yourself only."
"I know. Gomaweo Ikjun-na. I'm sorry"
"It's okay, no need to be sorry. You're just tired"
Songhwa is ready to open the cars's door when Ikjun takes her arms, Songhwa turns around to see Ikjun
"Get some rest, i'll pick you up tomorrow morning"
"I could get taxi tomorrow, you don't need to pick me up"
"No, i want to pick you up tomorrow morning. Can you bring me a cup of coffee tomorrow?"
Songhwa can't help but smiles. She wants to tease him because how he asked her that with his adorable puppy eyes.
"Arraseo, i'll make a coffee for you tomorrow"
Ikjun smiles and let her arms go "Good night"
"Good night Ikjun-na"

Songhwa gets off from Ikjun's car and wait for him to leave but he said he will leaves after Songhwa gets in the lift and make sure she's home.
She's shakes her head while smiling and turn around to walk in her apartment and press the lift button. Before she walk in to the lift she waves to Ikjun gives him a sign to leave.
He waves back to her, and when she's out of his sight, he's still there. Now he's the one who feels like he lost in his thought.

Not different with Ikjun, just after Songhwa enters her apartment, she's leaning herself to her front door. Thinking about Ikjun, about the twin's surgery. She misses him. She misses Ikjun.

They're both lost in their minds, they don't even know how to pour it all out.
