Chapter 13

It's Sunday morning. Ikjun already wakes up when he looks to the woman who sleep in his arms. He's still feeling surreal with this. He knows he dreamed about it long time ago when they were in college. But when it happens twenty years later, this still amazes him. He strokes her hair that blocking her face. But the moment he touches her, she tighten her hugs to him. He smiled. Cuddling with her makes he realized how tiny she is. How could you be so tiny like this when you eat a lot ? Even though she's so tiny, somehow she's perfectly fit in his arms.

He knew Songhwa is a morning person, but today at this hour she's still sleeping. He thinks she's probably still tired since they just got asleep around 2.00 am. So he will let her sleep a little longer. As he wants to reach his phone on the desk across them, Songhwa wakes up.
"Hmmm, you're awake?"
"It's Sunday, you can go back to sleep again"
"I'm hungry" as she's burying her face in Ikjun's chest, he immediately embraced her.

Neither Ikjun or Songhwa knew that they will have this moment. The laugh, the hug and kisses they had shared. People said life begin at forty, well it's kind of true, they've just write a new chapter in their life.

They're still cuddling on the couch for a few minutes before she decides to gets up to takes a shower.
"What do you want to eat ?" Songhwa turns to Ikjun right away.
"Hmmm... jeon ? albab ? kimchi jjigae ?"
"Aigoo... should we cook big portion today ?"
She glared at Ikjun like she was about to punch him, but then she did something that surprised him even more. She kissed him.

Ikjun didn't plan to going back to Seoul soon, but he's still need to call Uju if he wants to go back home today so he could pick him up and Aunty Wang at the station later. As he looks up to his phone he just realized that his phone was dead. He didn't charged his phone last night as he's too enjoy having quality time with Songhwa, because he knew he should head back to Seoul today.

Ikjun walks to the kitchen to prepare their breakfast. Songhwa still in the shower when her phone is ringing, Ikjun wants to take it as he heard this before. It might be important call as it's the second time. But he couldn't find her phone.

When she's back to the kitchen, she found Ikjun was already busy there. She walks towards him, stood on her tiptoe behind him and put her chin on his shoulder.
"What are you cooking ?"
"Jeon, albab, kimchi jjigae"
"Hahahaha"
Songhwa couldn't help but laugh. She walks to the refrigerator to gets kimchi and others ingredients to help him prepare the breakfast.
"Your phone is ringing earlier two times, but i couldn't find your phone"
"Oh ya ? Hmmm where did i put my phone ?"
Songhwa walks to the living room and search her phone around. When she's about to open her patio door, her phone is ringing again. She found the phone on the wooden swing chair on her balcony. As she looks the caller id, it was Junwan.

"Oh Junwan-ah"
"Yaaa, did you just wake up ? What time is it?"
"Yaaa, you called me just to check if i'm awake ?"
"Aanii.. what are you doing today ?"
"Hmmm.. nothing. Why ?"

"Songhwa-yaaa.... can you take over this, i want to take a shower first" Ikjun didn't realize Songhwa is on the phone while he called her from the kitchen.

"Ya ya ya, Who is it ? It's male voice" Junwan asked her right away as he heard the someone calling Songhwa from a far. Songhwa couldn't help but panicked as Ikjun turn around and walks to the balcony, Songhwa close the patio door that separates them instantly. Ikjun is confused. Songhwa gives him a sign to wait as she's on the phone now.
"Aanii... it's from the television"
"I didn't believe you"
"Junwan-ah, i'm busy. I'll call you back later, ok ? Bye" Songhwa didn't wait for Junwan to hangs up the phone as she took a long sigh and open her patio door again to see Ikjun.

"Who is it ?"
"It's Junwan"
"Why ?
"He heard you before"
"So ?"
"What if he found out that you're here ?"
"Is that a problem ?"
"Did he knew you came here ?"
"No"
"Exactly. Also, I'm still not ready for him to find out about us"
Ikjun didn't realized that he's a bit surprised to heard that. And Songhwa notices the change in expression on his face.
