Starting Over

18.

A few weeks go by we have fallen into a routine of working and seeing one another every second night sometimes we stay together or go back to our own homes.
When I arrive at work there is a lot of buzz in the air everyone is rushing around I check the clock and realise I am late. Normally everyone's still chatting with one another this is the busiest I've seen the office and the most work I've seen done.

"Arabella my office now"

My boss commands as I stand still in shock of the chaos around me. I follow him into his office and take off my coat

"Okay if he asks you were out getting my coffee"

My boss Benjamin says I raise my eyebrows to him confused

"If who asks ? What the hells going on"

I ask peeking through the window again I see an extremely stressed Kelly

"The big boss is in!! First time ever Arabella please pull yourself together and don't say anything that will mess this up. He's just bought the company we need to make a good impression so he doesn't fire me"

He says I laugh and agree

"Okay. Yes sir here's your coffee"

I say picking up his nearly empty costa cup that he must of got himself this morning and handing him it just as the door opens

"Benjamin this place is so unorganised. You have staff missing or turning up late."

I hear an all too familiar voice as I turn to face an angry looking Hunter.

"Sorry Mr Steele we will get everything in order as soon as possible"

"Mr Steele"

Hunter says holding his hand out to me. I look at his stretched out hand

"This is Arabella Molloy sir."

Benjamin says nudging me to shake hunters hand i plaster a smile on my face

"Nice to meet you sir"

I say sweetly which causes him to narrow his eyes

"I was under the impression all staff started at 8"

Hunter says checking his watch. Is he really doing this? He knows I run late most days

"She was getting me coffee on her way in. We all take turns each"

Benjamin says again saving my ass. I agree with him

"Hmm get on with your work miss Molloy"

Hunter commands showing me out the door I rush to find Kelly who is carrying two heavy boxes I take one off her after dumping my stuff as our desk and follow her to the storage room

"What the hells going on"

I ask she turns looking flustered

"Your big shot boyfriend has bought the company and came in this morning demanding an office here! We have to clear the dumping ground room for him."

What... surely I didn't hear her right ? Hunter bought the company and wants an office here??? In my work??

"Yeah you can wipe that look of horror off your face and help us clear."

She says clearly as unhappy as me. I keep my thoughts to myself as I follow her continuing to create an office for the big boss. I can't wait to get him alone and unleash every thought.
This is my place of work he has no right to take over. Also what does it mean for us as there's a no relationship policy that we have all signed.

Sorry updates are taking so long my work has been crazy and I've had to babysit my sisters kids the last couple of weekends.
