Starting Over

It was Wednesday, my least favourite day of the week, I've been in a terrible mood since Monday as the comments about me being with Hunter keep getting worse, he's been busy jumping between offices that he's not noticed just how bad it is. He's noticed my mood when we've got home but I've managed to keep a pretty good front up to hide it from him. I think today I will crack, it's 3.30 and Hunter has returned to our office he greets everyone while making his way to his office he gives me a sneaky little wink which makes me blush and smile as I hide my face.

"Wow he makes you blush from a wink he must have mega bucks"

One of the three women that's been getting on at me all weeks comment.

"Listen, it's none of your business I'm asking one last time to keep your comments to yourself."

I tell her she rolls her eyes and I do the same in return and start filling out my paper work

"I mean I'm just saying do HR know your fucking the boss"

I groan

"Will you just mind your own fucking business!"

I snap them jump up from the chair grabbing my belongings and heading to the HR office

"Hey James, I completely forgot I have an appointment i really need to run I can work the time back from home when I'm done"

"Yeah but go tell Mr Steele"

Shit... I never thought about that I just wanted to go home early our old boss used to never know how often we done this.

"Can you pass on the message"

I ask hopeful giving James my sweetest eyes he laughs and shakes his head, he's used to my puppy dog eyes and sweet talking as we have both worked here for so long and he became another friend to me in this place, before Hunter though he used to do a lot for me I think Hunter maybe scares him or he just respects that I'm now in a relationship.

"Nope, not a chance little one you're on your own with that one"

I huff and stare at him again, James smirks and shakes his head

"Sorry Arabella that's your man you can deal with it"

I throw my head back, okay time to just be honest with Hunter. I make my way into his office he looks surprised as I haven't been near his office this week, mostly to try and prevent any further comments... I look around his office before my eyes land on him, if this room wasn't full of windows I would of melted into his arms. I feel stressed and when I stress my body and mind stops and I never get anything done.

"You okay princess?"

He asks looking concerned I nod

"Yeh I've checked with James and I'm good to go for my appointment and head home then just catch up with work later"

I say he looks at me with raised eyebrows

"Appointment? I didn't know, what's it for ?"

I stall for a moment

"Ummm an appointment with my blanket and our new sofa pillows?"

Hunter let's our a laugh and shakes his head

"Oh Miss Molloy you aren't lying to HR are you ?"

I blush and shrug

"Please can I just go home"

I pout, again Hunter looks shocked, this is probably the littlest I've ever been and it's standing here in our work place I need to get home as soon as possible.

"Come on baby i will drop you off"

I smile and feel my mood lift a little as I follow him out to the car. It's not long before I let out a long breath I didn't know I was holding I flop straight onto the couch and turn on the tv I flick through Netflix until I find shrek Hunter returns with my blanket and teddy I whisper a thank you as I make myself comfortable. Hunter smiles and leans down and kisses my head just as his phone rings, he leaves the room as I drift off into my own world watching the film.
