This chapter is Wang Xian's POV after Wei Ying left him. I wanted to include this because I felt it was important to understand what he was experiencing in the story.  I wrote this very quickly so I hope I did it justice.  Thanks for understanding and be well!

'Why am I naked? I never sleep naked. What happened last night? Where....?'

Many questions swirled around in Wang Xian's brain as he groggily sat up in his bed. He looked around the room and noticed many empty jars of wine laying all over the table and floor. 'Did I drink all of those?' he wondered while he stood up and put on some clothes before stepping outside for some fresh air.

He stretched his long lean body and breathed in the crisp cool air before the realization of what had happened last night hit him like a tsunami wave.

MO XUANYU!!!!!

Where was he? Why wasn't he here? What the hell happened last night and why couldn't he remember anything?! He raised a hand to hold his head and he closed his eyes trying to reconstruct everything that had occurred yesterday.

Wang Xian remembered Mo Xuanyu showing up out of the blue, explaining that he was heading home and got lost. He had passed out from hunger and fatigue so Wang Xian had brought him inside and fed him. They talked and Mo Xuanyu had become very upset about something. He had asked for wine to drink which Wang Xian happily gave him from his stash. He recalled Mo Xuanyu getting drunk but that was all he could remember. Everything after that was just a black void that, no matter how much he tried, he could not shine light on it.

For some reason, this frustrated him to no end but why it did, he didn't understand. He decided to bathe and and eat some breakfast before heading into town for a few supplies. Maybe that would get his memory working again. He also needed to clean up the mess in his normally neat and organized house. As he moved around the room, quickly putting things in their proper place, he found his red hair ribbon on the floor.

His ribbon? he thought curiously. Was it his? No......It was Mo Xuanyu's. What? That didn't seem right either. His brows furrowed as he concentrated on this one simple thing he held in his hands. It bothered him that suddenly his thoughts were warring with each other and he didn't know who the winner was. He threw the ribbon on the table and continued with his day.

That night, when he went to bed, his exhausted body collapsed onto the mattress, releasing a seductive fragrance from the fabric. Him!  Wang Xian breathed in the fresh outdoor smell of rain, flowers, and grass with a hint of......What was that other scent? It was stimulating. His body immediately started to react to the scent of......arousal. Wang Xian buried his face in the pillow and inhaled deeply. It was his scent! A small moan escaped his lips as he wrapped his arms around the pillow.

A hundred scenes played out in his mind before he realized what was happening. He remembered. Everything. He remembered Mo Xuanyu telling him that he had loved someone but had lost them.  He remembered that Mo Xuanyu had tried to leave but he had stopped him.  He remembered Mo Xuanyu's angelic voice, his beautiful face, the way he seemed to crave Wang Xian's touch, how his body reacted to his kisses and......bites.

Fuck!

Wang Xian was getting hard just thinking about the heat and friction between them. What was happening to him? Who was that man he shared his bed with?

And why wasn't he here now? Why did he leave?  A sense of loss was overwhelming Wang Xian.  Was he too rough with him? Was Mo Xuanyu embarrassed about what had happened between them? Wang Xian certainly wasn't. He had hungered for Mo Xuanyu like a starving man hungers for food. He still ached for him now.

Reluctantly, he reached under his lower garments and grasped himself, imagining that Mo Xuanyu's muscular body was lying next to him. His long fingers wrapped around his thick shaft, a long sigh escaping his throat. He pictured Mo Xuanyu's mesmerizing grey eyes looking into his as he started moving his hand up and down.

He stroked himself slowly at first, but, as Mo Xuanyu's scent wrapped itself around him, his movements became faster, stronger. His body stiffened and stretched as his climax built. With the memory of Mo Xuanyu's mouth on his shaft, Wang Xian shattered, stars exploding behind his closed eyes.

He thought that after that night, things would get better. He had washed his bed linens to get rid of the tantalizing scent that seemed to drive him crazy and he had tried to keep busy around the house to keep his mind off his handsome visitor. His lover. NO! He had to let go of that thought. He had to let go of HIM!

But over the next few weeks, his obsession only grew and deepened. He couldn't sleep without thinking about and feeling Mo Xuanyu's phantom touch on him. His mind kept seeing his smile, that sad and lonely smile, and his heart wanted to comfort him and chase the tears away.  His arms wanted to hold him tightly and protect him from anything or anyone that threatened to hurt him.

After a few weeks of this madness, Wang Xian could no longer deny his uncontrollable desire for this man. He packed a change of clothes, some food and water, and the red ribbon before leaving his small cottage. He looked at the world ahead of him and wondered where he should start his search.

As if he had heard Wang Xian's question, Mo Xuanyu's soft voice repeated in his head, 'I'm headed back to Gusu.'

Wang Xian vaguely knew in which direction to walk as he had heard some of the villagers talk about the city in the clouds and its famous cultivators. He also realized that it would be a very long journey. But he was not going to stop searching until he found it......and Mo Xuanyu.
