Chapter 1

Encounter

  
 
We were comfortably seating and talking near the long field of our school. Everybody seems having fun after long weeks of hell, I sighed and just listen to them.

  
  

"I told you to just go on blind dates, kinakabahan na daw si lolo, wala ka parin daw kasing jowa," natatawang sabi ni Azikiel.
 
  
 

"Ay gago, hiyang hiya naman ako," pikon na sabi ni Rhyx.
 
  
  

"Enough and act your age already, daig niyo pa elementary ," singit naman ni Demeter at tinignan sila ng masama.
 
  
 

"Arin oh, napakapapansin ni Kiel,” Rhyx said giving up and pouted.

  
 

Arin just looked at her and ignored what he said then she started reading her book again that made Kiel laugh.
 
  
 

"Ayan kasi, pasimuno si Kiel, nakarinig tuloy kayo ng words of wisdom,” sabi ko at bahagyang natawa
 
  
 

"I’m hungry, let’s grab some food,” sabi ni Kiel at tumayo na bago sinimulang maglakad.
 
  
  

"Sama ako, basta libre mo ha!" Sabi ni Rhyx at sunod anring tumayo
 
  
  

"In your ass bro!" sigaw pabalik ni Kiel.

  
 

Nagtingin nalamang kaming dalawa ni Demeter at napailing. Haynako, hindi lang elementary baka dinaig pa kinder. We are walking outside the university when I noticed Arin is still reading her book so I grabbed her hand so I can catch ehr attention.

  
 

“You’ll trip if you continue reading, focus on the road first then continue reading when we reach the restaurant,” I said then continued walking.

  
  

After we ate lunch, all of us headed to our different classes. The professor dismissed us early as expected, it’s still two o’clock in the afternoon, Demeter told them to meet at the parking lot because she’ll treat us at the mall later.

  
 

We submitted our projects first heading at the parking lot. Tamad akong umupo sa bench tapat ng parking lot dahil sa layo ng nilakad, nilabas ko muna ang aking phone para paglaruan habang hinihintay ang iba.

  
 

“Uy, san punta natin ngayon?” Bungad ni Rhyx sa harap namin.

  
 

He is wearing his specs now while his bag and drawing tube was lazily hanging on his shoulder.

  
 

“At the mall.” tipid na sabi ni Demeter dahil nakatutok siya sa binabasa niya sa kanyang phone.

  
 

Tumango-tango ito at umupo sa gitna namin. I massaged my shoulders dahil kanina pa ito amsakigt, maybe Rhyx noticed what I’m doing so he offered to massage my shoulders.

  
 

After minutes of waiting the two already arrived since parehas sila ng degree ng course. Demeter told us which mall and rode at Kiel’s car, walang gustong sumakay kay Rhyx dahil wala nanaman ‘yong sawang salita ng salita.

  
 

Nang makarating kami sa mall ay una muna kaming pumunta sa samgyup para makapag-reserve. Nag-antay na sila Rhyx at Arin doon at kami naman nina Kiel at Demeter ay dumiretso sa book store.
