Chapter 27

"Busy?"

Huminto ako sa pagpinta at nilingon ang kung sinong nagsalita. I instantly smile when I saw Caden in his three piece suit. Lumapit siya sa akin at pinatakan ako ng halik sa labi.

"What are doing this time?" He snuggle himself on my neck.

I shrugged. "I was so bored so I decided to paint. I'm just finishing it." Tinignan ko ang canvas sa harap ko.

Caden hug my waist. Parehas kaming nakatingin sa gawa ko. It's an old and abandoned church in the middle of the woods. I don't know how I came up in this painting ideas but the church feels familiar.

"Then... I want to marry you!" I excited remarked.

Napakurap si Caden bago tinuro ang sarili niya. "You... You want to marry me?"

Tumango tango ako. "Yes! I want to be with you forever and ever!" I exclaimed.

Kumislap ang pagkamangha sa mata niya hanggang sa nauwi sa mahinang pagtawa. Lumiwanag ang ekspresyon niya bago tumango at tinitigan ako. Slowly, a smile crept in his lips, like he made a decision for himself.

"It's decided, then. We'll marry each other when we reached the right age." Nilaro niya ang mahahaba at alon alon kong buhok.

I pouted. "But I want to get married now..." Ungot ko.

Kinulit ko ng kinulit si Caden hanggang sa tuluyan siyang sumuko.

He sighed. "Wear a white dress tomorrow. We'll get wed on the abandoned church near your house, okay?" Masaya akong tumango.

Kinabukasan ng hapon ay tumungo kami sa malaking simbahan na walang tao. Maraming nagsasabi na pinamumugaran ito ng multo pero sinabi sa akin ni Caden na kaya lang naman ito inabanduna ay dahil nagkaroon ng malaking simbahan sa malapit, at iniwan itong simbahan na ito.

The place is so vintage but nevertheless, beautiful and aesthetic. Yakap ang teddy bear ko, lumakad ako sa aisle ng simbahan habang nag-aantay si Caden sa altar. I giggle because it looks like the scene I watched in the movies. Just a little version.

"I, Caden Lienzo Montreal, take thee, Amber Canary Chandler to be my wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part." He stated the traditional vow we practiced. "Take this ring as a visible and constant symbol of my promise to marry you when you reach the right age to be legally wed to me. I promise to stay faithful as your childhood sweetheart and I will mark this wedding we had in my heart. You will be mine now, tomorrow, and forever." My eyes widen when he slid a cute thin band and gold ring in my finger.

I gasped. "B-But I don't have a ring..." Nagsimulang mamuo ang luha sa mata ko.

Natawa si Caden. "Don't worry, Amber, we'll exchange ring someday."

Suminghot ako at nagsimula na sa linya ko. " I, Amber Canary Chandler, take thee, Caden Lienzo Montreal, to be my wedded husband. I promise to be true to you in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part." Sumimangot ako dahil wala akong singsing na maibibigay sa kaniya. Instead, I handed him my lovely bonbon. "Take my bonbon as a symbol of my promise to you in front of this altar, inside this abandoned church, in the middle of nowhere. I promise to remember this day until I give you my hand for a marriage that will happen years from now. I vow to stay faithful to you, till death do us part." I vowed.
