What’s your almost name?

I almost got named Rachel. My sisters and I all almost got named Rose. Why my mother was so dead-set on that name, I’ll never know.

Least favorite book / favorite character?

Least favorite book. Huh. I’ll have to say ‘The Supernaturalist’ by Eoin Colfer. I loved that book right up until the ending. When I got there it was like a betrayal. My favorite character was Stefan. He was badass.

If I could be an animal?

…I’d be an eagle. Because then I could fly. Or, if we’re going for realism, I’d be a chickadee. Because then I could fly and be flipping cute while doing so.

I meet One Direction – the first thing I say?

…Yo.

Favorite movie / worst part?

Favorite movie… Man, I don’t watch movies.

Which color describes my day today best?

Gray. Matches the color of the sky.

What is the worst natural or manmade disaster?

Natural – Hurricane Katrina, I guess. Mainly because it’s the worst one that I can remember.

Man-made – The space shuttle Challenger. I don’t know. Just goes to show how badly things can go wrong if we’re not careful.

List all the magazines I read often.

Muse. That’s it. It’s a kid’s science magazine

If I could make one famous person more appreciated and more famous, who would it be?

Cry. Well, ChaoticMonki on YouTube. That guy’s voice is amazing and he’s hilarious. He does LPs. I recommend ‘The Witch’s House’.

What location in the world suits your personality best?

Right here where I am, in rainy Washington State.

Toast, Cereal, or Porridge?

I have never had porridge. Cereal isn’t filling enough. Toast. Toast with peanut butter and honey.

If my book were adapted would I prefer a TV show / Movie / Play / Other?

Probably a movie. Most of the scenes I write end up playing out in my head like a movie, which is cool, but also gets annoying, mainly because I can’t match that with words. No matter how hard I try, no one will ever see EXACTLY what I was thinking when I visualized a scene.

I’m easily annoyed. Next question.

Choose two aspects of the adaptation I have control over and say what I would do with them.

I chose cast and directors and producers. If I can’t get good enough actors in my story, what’s the point? As for the directors, those guys are always screwing things up. I want my movie to be the one that follows the book, as exactly as possible.

Would I rather take a vampire or werewolf in a fight?

Werewolf. Silver bullets, bang-bang, you’re done. And there would be none of this Jacob Black nonsense, either.

Which celebrity would I want to go to a formal event with?

…Do I have to go? That’s my first question. If no, then I’ll be staying home with some dark chocolate and YouTube. If yes, then fine, I’ll go with Matthew Lewis. Don’t judge me; he’s cute.
