The street wasn't as dark as I'd wanted it to be. It would've been easier to tail her at night but unfortunately it wasn't even midday yet.

Well nothing I can do about that, just focus.

The street she'd turned into was way less crowded than the one we'd been walking on. No one was behind me, the girl was about three to five meter in front of me and about three meters in front of her was a couple. They didn't even notice either of us, they were just caught in their own little world.

Is she tailing them?

As far as I could she she was keeping a solid three meter distance between her and the couple and slowed down when they did.

She's tailing them. Is one of them her new target? Maybe both of them to make up for the target she should've killed but got away.

Her hood wasn't as wide as mine was so I could see the outlines of her head. So far they'd been pointing in the girl's direction the entire time without even glancing to the guy. But I couldn't assume anything since I couldn't know where her eyes were looking. Still, it was suspicious.

I made sure to stay silent and kept my distance. She obviously knew what she was doing but she wasn't the only one.

Assuming that she's planning on killing both of them, how would she work? What plan of attack. What assassination technique?

Two targets, unaware of their surroundings... She could literally go with anything as long as it's fast. Or distract one and kill them one by one. But seeing as so far she's acted more on speed than certainty, I think she'd go for the fast double kill.

But how would she kill them? Is she carrying a knife? Is she supernatural herself?

I couldn't figure it out since her hoodie was big enough to hide weapons and her deodorant overpowering enough to hide her smell.

After nearly a minute she started to create more distance between her and her target. I knew why she did it; the streets were getting smaller and it would be easier to notice us. I did the same to my target which created a gap of at least 15 meter between me and the couple.

They turned around the corner and suddenly my target, the girl, started sprinting.

Shit.

I dashed after her being careful not to make too much sound; I was still tailing her. But she was fast. She was very fast. I couldn't keep up with her and saw her dash around the corner as well. The sound of her footsteps told me that she hadn't stopped to ambush me so I kept running but just before I turned around the corner, I heard the girl scream.

Soon after her scream, I heard the guy shriek in horror. I focused everything on my speed and ran around the corner.

The guy was on his butt with his hands in front of his face while the girl's body laid lifelessly on the ground. Her neck had a deep cut in it which rapidly spilled blood. She was still squirming around but I'd seen enough. In a minute, she'd be dead.

The guy tried to crawl away as the murderess nimbly jumped over the girl and to him. A large knife was sticking out of her right sleeve. The girl's blood dripped off the blade as she set another step towards the guy.

I knew that I wouldn't reach them in time if I had to run to them so instead I grabbed a rock and threw it at her. the rock hit the back of her head with a dull thud. Her head snapped up and turned to me.

Her eyes gave away a lot of secrets. First of all, she had never been caught in the act. She looked really surprised and even a hint of panic reached her face. Her eyes also confirmed my theory; she was a girl. Her eyes were brown and stared straight into mine. But I wasn't like her. I knew mine wouldn't give anything away.

She quickly pulled herself together and stood straight. Her entire body turned away from the guy and to me as if I was her new interest.

"Who are you?" She asked me with a melodic voice not even caring that I would be able to identify her better now.

I didn't answer. She was not gonna get me to speak. That would mean that she would be able to know what my voice sounds like. I slowly and dangerously set some steps forward, not taking my eyes off her once. Behind her I could see the guy trying to get away. Apparently she'd also heard it and smoothly turned around. She slammed her knife in his arm. He screamed out in pain and looked at his now pinned down arm.

The guy tried to get it out but I knew better, he was stuck. Luckily the guy found that out quite soon before he hurt himself even worse.

The killer turned back to me and got a second knife from her other sleeve. Possible multiple unknown weapons.

"You should turn around while you still can." she said with an grin that should've been intimidating. But there weren't a lot of things intimidating to me anymore. I was just numb.

I got ready in my fighting stance. Her eyes narrowed at me and I knew that I was her new target. She was not gonna leave with me still breathing.

"Have it your way." she mumbled as she dashed towards me.
