Our car broke down in the middle of nowhere after grocery shopping. After a quick inspection they sent us a tow truck. So finally after 45 minutes of waiting it arrived. Everything went flawless... until my grandma cut her leg when she climbed into the truck. She takes these pills to make her blood thinner so she started to drip blood everywhere.

Long story short: Our trip to the grocery store ended up being a 5 hour trip total.

Also you get a lot of weird stares when you show up in a tow truck at the hospital and start to unload your grocery bags.

So far my plan worked perfectly; the guy, who's name I still don't know, bought my story. Tomorrow or even later this afternoon I'd be approached by the cops again to validate the guy's new lead.

I'd be able to frame Gerrit for Jaylah's murder. Two birds with one stone! And with Mr Stilinski as my ally, the police would be able to get a trustworthy 'anonymous' tip that their new suspect has been at it for a long time.

And boom! Problem solved. Gerrit locked up, Jaylah walks freely and no one to order them around when we attack what will be left of his hideout. The most uncertain part is over but the dangerous part has yet to come. I just hope that we're ready to attack. Maybe we'll be outnumbered but we have the element of surprise on our side.

The cold air brushed against me as I continued to walk home. It would take me a while to get home. Maybe Lydia and Allison were right. Maybe I do need to learn to drive. Oh who am I kidding I'll never have enough money to get a car. Besides there are other things that I should be worrying about.

The fear in the guy's eyes had stirred some memories I'd like to forget. I pulled up my scarf and watched my feet hit the pavement as I walked. I love the quietness of being by yourself but once you let your guard down, it's so easy to get trapped in memories and worries.

I crossed my arms and unconsciously brushed my hand over the place I'd been injured not that long ago. Life had gotten so hard after that full moon back in the Netherlands. That night they made sure that I didn't shift, I get that. After they were done they left me in that room. Even though the night was horribly painful and cold on that floor, I was still grateful. If they'd kicked me out I would have had to spend the rest of the night somewhere on the streets. My dad definitely wouldn't have opened the door for me.

What wasn't nice was the trouble I got in when I díd go home the next morning. Not to mention the first contract I got after that. Thinking back, it wasn't even a hard contract to fulfill. It was just hard to breath with bruised ribs. Something that gets annoying when you have to run and jump.

When I just got back to America, I could see their questions burning in their eyes. Yet they never asked them. Well they'd some times slip up and ask something but I doubted that they got all their answers. Stiles was the one who was most persistent. His questions made me realize something; no matter what I'd tell them, they'd never really get what happened when I was gone.

I do know that they got what happened, they just couldn't imagine it. One thing Stiles asked was why I didn't go to the cops. That's when I knew they couldn't really place themselves in my shoes. It's only logical from their point of view. I had evidence that could get me away from that place. Why wouldn't I take such an offer?

I had a reason. A good one in my point of view anyway. I couldn't. I saw day in day out the influence and power Carver had. I probably wouldn't even have lived long enough for the cops to help me and if I did, I wouldn't have lived long in America either.

I forced myself to stop thinking about it. It was over and all that was left to do now is to tie up my loose ends.

After my attack on Gerrit's group I'll be free again. No more watching my back. That'd be nice.

I kept a low profile the rest of the day. After I got home, I didn't leave it again. Cora came over to talk to her brother for a while. Just to catch up on what had been happening in her life and in his. Even though they both ensured me that I wasn't intruding, I still felt like I was. I let them talk and turned to training. It wasn't an intensive training but enough to tire me out. After that I just spend the rest of the time texting Stiles and Isaac while they were in class between cleaning the house and, after Cora left, spending some time with Derek.

"You know, we never got to watch a movie." Derek began after getting us some drinks. "Got any plans?" he asked with a smirk.

I grinned and took a sip of my glass. When I'd straightened out my face, I removed my eyes from my drink and looked up at him. "Hmm not sure. I'd have to check my agenda."

Derek nudged me with a grin on his face and made his way over to the couch. "What's your favorite?" he asked me as he opened Netflix.

Derek's pov

Since I didn't get an immediate response, I glanced over my shoulder. She was biting her lip while staring at the ground deep in thoughts. After a few seconds her eyes lit up. "V for Vendetta!" she beamed.

I'd never even heard of the story to be honest. But Liz seemed excited about it so let's look it up.

A masked freedom fighter known as "V" takes up arms against the totalitarian government in a futuristic Britain. Finding an unlikely ally in a young woman named Evey Hammond, V urges the citizenry to fight the oppression of the state.

It didn't sound like something I'd watch but I was just thankful that it wasn't a chick flick. I shrugged and pressed play.

Remember, remember the 5th of November, the gun powder treason and plot. I know of no reason why the gun powder treason should ever be forgot.

I saw the ends of Liz's lips curl up without her even realizing it. It made me smile unconsciously as I too began to watch the movie.

The hour flew by and I must admit that it was a really cool movie. And, nearing the end of the movie, I could see why it was Liz's favorite; it fit her personality perfectly. Like a match made in heaven.

Two short knocks echoed through my apartment. I felt Liz tense up next to me as her eyes darted to the door. I pushed myself up from the couch but before I could walk away, Liz pulled my arm.

I watched her expression which, as strange as I thought it was, wasn't scared. She was as calm as ever when she whispered "Don't worry. It's all going according to plan."

I frowned in confusion but Liz just shook her head and nudged me to open the door. In the short time that I had to open the door, I couldn't wrap my head around her warning. I'd tried to hear who was waiting on the other side but all I could hear were two heartbeats. Two wouldn't be enough to attack us here. It wouldn't make sense.

I rolled my door open revealing none other than Mr Stilinski in uniform and his colleague Jones. Mr Stilinski nodded a hello while Jones's eyes fell on Liz.

They're back?! I thought Liz said that she had it covered!

"Liz you're needed at the station." Mr Stilinski stated.

I glanced over my shoulder to see Liz looking surprised. Something was off though. At first I couldn't quite put my finger on it until I realized that her heart was still beating steadily. She wasn't surprised, no matter what her expression told me.

"Am I in trouble?" she asked innocently while walking up to my side.

"No, we just want you to validate something." they answered both oblivious to Liz's knowledge on the subject.

"Okay." she agreed and got her jacket.
