It seemed as though it got colder with the second and it made the woman shiver, yet her clothes - for as far as she was wearing them - were drenched in sweat.

She wanted to hug herself, trying to gain some warmth, but she didn't have the strength to move her limbs.

Everything was numb.

The smell lingering in the air was one she did not recognize, but it disgusted her. It made her head ache even more.

It was as though someone had just hit her with a bat, until she had collapsed and, frankly, she would even be surprised if that was what had happened, but she couldn't remember it precisely.

Her mind was one blur.

She realized she was in danger. She knew she had to fear for her life and she wanted to scream. More than anything.

But her mouth kept shut. She couldn't open it and her throat hurt.

Water.

That's what she wanted. She wanted water.
