Ch17- Blood must be spilt

Luna's POV

My heart pounded hard in my chest, I started to sweat. My hands were trembling; I punched the man one more time in the face to knock him out. All the time I was staring at them. My mouth probably sitting on the floor, I slowly pushed myself of the man and dusted my dress off. I clenched my hands open and shut as I hung my head. My wings flapped uselessly to my side, the soft parts tickling my bare skin.

"I had to Luna" Lucas got up and looked at me sadly; I just peeped up through my hair. My brothers, yes my brothers all stood their staring shocked. Well I would be to if I saw a black angel that had the same name as my deceased sister. He walked towards me and I took an instinctive step back, he looked taken aback, I smiled an apology at him and walked forward again. I must've looked horrible with my messed up hair, tattered skirt and blood smeared face. Lucas walked slowly towards me as if I was some feral animal, as if I would attack him at any minute. I still kept my head down, peeping through my hair I saw my other brothers standing completely still watching Lucas as he walked towards me.

He embraced me and held me close, I buried my face in his dirty shirt, stupid fool rolling in the sand. I was still, my muscles still locked in place. He held me and buried his face in my hair. "You are going to have to tell them" he whispered in my ear. I sighed melodramatically and pouted. God, I was acting like such a child.

"Lucas what the hell is going on?" asked Ayden, his voice trembled a bit. I peeped behind Lucas, they had got over the shock and now they looked a bit mad, they also had traces of confusion scrawled across their faces.

"You tell them!" he whispered fiercely. I shoved him in the chest.

"No you!" I whispered back.

"No you do it!" he retorted.

"No you fucking do it, since you the one who came here!" I yelled.

"Tell us what?" yelled Dandre. I pushed Lucas in his direction standing behind him. I'm hoping it's the latter.  Lucas wrung his hands together.

"Well you see, this coward behind me-" he made sure to put emphasise on coward so I kicked him in the calve, he buckled a bit and then glared at me over his shoulder, "Well she is someone you know...remember when I told you and Cole I have a secret that I want to tell you guys?"

"Yeah?" he asked warily, staring at me. I still held onto Lucas's arms, peeping out from behind his tall figure. I could feel Lucas taking in a deep breath; he is going to do it! I slowly walked away. I was not going to get into this, my brothers were going to blow up at each other and then there was going to be a whole lot of shit.

"Luna is our sister!" Lukas blurted out.

There was a chorus of 'what?!' I was slowly backing away Hayden and Caden had also joined the little congregation; I would've been free if I hadn't bumped into a body. I turned around quickly and spotted Ayden, I couldn't pick out one emotion on his face, there were too many. It was anger to relief to disbelief and then sadness and that's only some. I quickly threw my hands over my eyes and stood there. Maybe if I acted dumb I could be let off easily...yeah that's it!
