*Alec's POV*

It's been nearly two weeks since I last saw her but I can't keep her off my mind. Valentina Morales has been plaguing my thoughts and dreams. There's something about that woman that has me hooked.

I had just left work and stopped by a coffee shop for my "after work coffee," I was leaving with my regular when I swear I spotted a certain dark haired beauty. At first, I believed my eyes were deceiving me, but when  looked again; it was indeed her.

"Hey." I greeted, sliding into the chair next to hers.

She looked up at me and a look of disappointment crossed her face. Nevertheless, she forced a smile and replied, "Hi Alec."

It was a little disheartening knowing that she didn't want to see me, but I wasn't going to let that show.

"What are you up doing here?" She added in after a second.

"Getting coffee." I held up the cup so she could see, "waiting for someone?"

"Yeah, my car got two flats and the person that's supposed to be picking me up is running very late."

I wonder who that person is. Ehh, it doesn't matter, God gave me an opportunity and I'm taking it.

"Let me give you a ride home." I offered, feeling my heart speed up a bit

"No, I don't want to inconvenient you like that. You probably have somewhere to be."

"I don't. Just let me drive you home."

She smiled genuinely, unlike the forced smile she gave me earlier, and answered, "Okay but I owe you one."

I can tell she's one of those people who hate taking favors.

The ride to her place was void of conversation, unless she was giving me directions. I pulled up to an upscale apartment complex and she got out.

"Thanks again, do you want to come up for a drink or something?"

Just as I opened my mouth to answer, my stomach decided to growl very loudly.

She laughed lightly, "How about I feed you?" She offered, "and you better say yes Alec."

Well then, a litte demanding are we?

"I never turn down food." I stated, turning off the engine.

I followed close behind as she led me to her apartment. When we arrived at the door Valentina couldn't find her keys and when she finally did, she had trouble unlocking the door.

"Here, let me." I said lowly, taking the key from her grasp.

I swear I faintly heard her breath hitch as I leaned over her, unlocking the door.

"Do I make you nervous?" I asked, once I had pushed the door open.

She looked at me and rolled her eyes, "So cliché."

I laughed, following her into her nicely decorated apartment, where she told me to myself at home. I large window that are up an entire wall caught my eye, it showed off a beautiful view of the city.

"Did you get this place because of the view?" I inquired, joining her in her kitchen.

"Oh no, I got it because it was close to everything and the rent is like so cheap because this was once a brutal murder scene."

She says that like its nothing, ghosts are very much real; I've seen one with my own two eyes, but that's another story for another day.

"Have you expirenced anything paranormal?"
