Zephyr is walking through the forest. She stops, looks around and then crouches down. She moves some leaves and underneath them is a rope. The rope leads to a hole covered with leaves and vines. Zephyr climbs down into the hole. The dragon meets her at the bottom. He turns in circles excitedly.
ZEPHYR: Hey buddy! I'm back! Here you want some fish?
Zephyr reaches into her knapsack and pulls out a fish.
The dragon ignores it and turns in circles excitedly.
ZEPHYR: What? Not hungry today?
The dragon runs to the back of the den.
ZEPHYR: Uhh, bud?
The dragon comes back with Zephyr's dagger in it's mouth. It spits it out. The dagger is covered in dragon spit.
ZEPHYR: (looks down in disbelief) My dagger! You found my dagger!
The dragon nods excitedly and jumps up and down.
ZEPHYR: Wow! I can't believe it! Thank you!
The dragon beams proudly.
Zephyr looks up at the dragon. (Scenes switch from flashback and the present)
HICCUP: Hold out your hand. Like this.
(Younger Zephyr holds out her hand)

HICCUP: Let him come to you.
Zephyr looks at the dragon and then looks at her hand. The dragon growls softly. Zephyr stares at the dragon. Then, she slowly looks away.

The dragon puts it's head against Zephyr's hand. Zephyr opens her eyes and looks at the dragon. The dragon opens it's eyes and moves his head away. Zephyr smiles slowly.
The dragon jumps up to Zephyr and starts to lick her face.
