16. "Bring on the karaoke"

Jay and Carlos in Bella and pipers room. "Wow, how did you?" jay mumbles seeing their room was almost transformed. Their beds were pushed together with an extra single bed creating a huge space for everyone to sit. At what seemed to be the front of the room was a karaoke machine. On their tv was the song choices. Except they weren't normal songs, it was songs they had all sung over the past year or two. "I'm magic" Bella winked causing piper to hit her. Bella rolled her eyes and jumped onto the bed. "Oh yeah, forgot" Carlos mutters cheekily earning a hit from his girlfriend. "Kidding,  how could I forget the very moment I fell for such a stunning girl" he flatters. Bella rolls her eyes but smiles. "Actually you were the one who physically fell but oh well"' He says causing Bella to let out a laugh. "But Carlos,  you knew me beforehand dearest" jay says causing piper start laughing. "Flattery gets you everywhere" Bella says to her boyfriend leaning over to grab her phone. "Pipes, hate to break it to you love, but Carlos will forever be my one true love" Jay says. Piper rolls her eyes. "Take your bromance elsewhere" she says, in mock annoyance. Jay wraps his arms around her, causing her to smile and hug him back. 

 Soon after Evie, Mal, Dizzy and Celia arrived. "Who else is coming?" piper asks, looking around the room. "Uma and harry" Bella says, plugging the karaoke machine in. "Harry!" piper exclaims. "Chill" jay mumbles. "I can't believe you are letting him in" piper says in fake shock. "Piper, what do I say?" Bella warns, her voice like how you would talk to a small child. "Be nice to the peasants, yeah yeah I know" she says, smiling fakely. Bella rolls her eyes but jay stifles a giggle. As if on cue, harry and Uma arrive. Piper gives Harry a sickly sweet smile, causing many of the people in the room to become slightly concerned.  "Bring on the karaoke" was all she said. 

"So who's up first?" Bella giggles. Piper grabs jay and makes him sing with her. She giggles as she points to a song. "Hurry up" Carlos mutters. "Ready" Jay says. Piper laughs as she starts to sing  'Whats my name' Everyone else responded with 'piper' instead of uma and jay rapped Harrys part. Everyone was just having fun. Next up was Evie who dragged Dizzy, Celia and Mal up to do 'chillin' like a villain'. They strutted around the room, mal imitating her boyfriend which caused many laughs. There was a few tumbles but overall, a very entertaining performance. 

Everyone was enjoying it. Bella leant against Carlos and smiled. All her friends were getting on and laughing together. "Bellas turn!" Celia giggles. Bella sat up and looked at them confused. "do queen of mean" Dizzy elaborated. Bella laughed and rolled her eyes. "Fine" She smirked, tossing her phone on the bed. Piper grabbed it and got ready to film. Bella flicked her hair dramatically as she got ready to sing. She sang it, better than Audrey in many of their opinions. She was a very good singer. She sang with emotion, surprising almost everyone in the room. "I wish I could sing like you" Celia smiled. Bella smiled back. "Thank you, your'e amazing as well though" she said, boosting celias confidence. "Now I just have to steal the sceptre" Bella says, sounding deadly serious but clearly wasn't. "Audrey would be proud" Uma laughs. Bella nods at the thought of her older sister. She definitely didn't want to follow in her footsteps after that. 

Evie nudged dizzy and dizzy rolled her eyes. She had a sassy side. It didn't come out that often, but from having a best friend like Celia, it was inevitable. "Fine" she sighs. Evie cheers. Piper jumps up and lays on the floor. Jay just looks at his girlfriend in confusion. "Im Doug" piper looks around. "Of course" Bella says. Piper and Doug were friends. Despite their contrasting personalities, they got on quite well. Their dads were friends, meaning they saw each other out of school from time to time. Dizzy began singing. She ran around, getting very dramatic and into it. Piper acted as if she was asleep. Towards the end she "sleepwalked" into the bed. "Totally meant to do that" she mumbles before dizzy hits her to get back into character. They finish dramatically, without the kiss. "I was looking forward to this kiss" Harry teases. Jay shoots him a glare."Be nice to the peasants jay" piper giggles, flicking her hair as she walked past harry. 

After a few more "performances" including Piper and uma singing do what you gotta do and Celia singing my once upon a time, Carlos gave jay a look. They both jumped up. "Whats going on?" piper groaned, but grabbed her phone. This was going to be entertaining. They shared a mischievous grin before pressing play. The music plays and Bella bites her lip to stop laughing. They launch into "Emotionally" singing space between. They act out imitating mal and Evie. Halfway through they begin slow dancing, terribly but it was still somehow considered dancing. Bella grabs pipers arm and they both fall back from laughing. Everyone has tears in their eyes by the end of it. "Wooo" piper cheers through laughter.   "How dare you laugh at your own boyfriend!" Carlos mock hurts. Bella rolls her eyes playfully. He flops down next to her and smiles up at her. 

They put on the group songs. Everyone sings together. Good to be bad plays. Celia and dizzy give each other a look and jump up. Bella and piper sing along, watching the best friends dance in amusement. "Come dance!" Celia invites. The younger pair teach them the dance.As a foursome they dance. "Never knew you could dance'' Carlos states as she comes to sit back down. "Its one of my many hidden talents" she giggles. Mal puts you and me on. "Oh this brings back memories" Bella says, shaking her head. "you ruined my dress by the way" Bella pointed at uma. "Oops" uma shrugs, leaning against harry. "The amount of dresses and shoes that were ruined!" she exclaims. "You sound like Audrey" mal says, knowing how to wind her friend up. "Oh god no" Bella shakes her head. 

As it gets to the dance part, piper drags jay up and makes him dance. Before long they were all up dancing. Mal and Evie together, Dizzy and Celia being surprisingly good considering neither were there and harry and uma watching in amusement. No one cared that they weren't phenomenal dancers, they were just having fun. They sang and danced for a while. Everyone enjoying each others company for once. The newer vks understanding what it felt like to have fun, and to have friends. Even harry enjoyed it, it didn't bother him that the girl he wanted to fight since the age of 8 was there. She was just like everyone else there, a friend, almost . Curfew was supposedly at 10 and it was fast approaching. "Guys we have to go" Mal says as set it off dies down. A chorus of "Ugh"s and "No"s filled the room. "Lets make this a regular thing" piper states, slowly pushing everyone from their room. They all left and with three movements of Bellas finger, their room was today and back to normal.
