Alastor's p.o.v

I looked up to see n/n and the angel had vanished.
Almost everyone was crying.
Some were looking for n/n.
I was barely able to fight back the tears myself.
I wasn't going to cry in front of everyone,
I really didn't need the embarrassment.
Angel just sat there, starring up at were n/n once was,
As if he was waiting for her to just appear.
Apart of me wanted to comfort him,
So I did.
"Angel, are you alright?"
I asked even though I was fully aware of the answer.
"No."
He responded simply, looking down.
I looked in the other direction for a second.
Then I looked back at angel.
I placed my hand on angel's shoulder.
"We will be okay."
I said comfortingly.
I got up as the black room faded away until we were back at the hotel.
I walked up the stairs before anyone noticed I left.
I entered my room and sat on my bed with a sigh.
I looked over to the dresser,
Seeing a small cactus n/n had gotten me for Father's Day.
I smiled remembering the memory.
(Memory)
There was a soft knock on the door.
I turned my head to the door, a bit surprised.
The others rarely knocked on my door if it was closed.
I walked over to the door and opened it,
Only to find n/n standing there holding a small
Cactus in her hands.
The cactus had a small note attached to it.
"Umm, this is for you."
She said shyly, handing me the small desert plant.
"Tha-"
Before I could finish she was gone.
I shrugged and closed the door.
I smiled at the seemingly out of the blue gift.
I carefully picked up the note and read it.
Dear, Al
Your probably wondering why I gave you a cactus and a note,
Well today is Father's Day!
I know you technically not my dad,
But you are a huge father figure in my afterlife.
I guess this is my thank you.
Thank you for taking care of me and caring about me when you didn't have to.
Happy Father's Day :)
You're Canvas for endless nicknames
-n/n

I smiled and placed the cactus and the note on the dresser.
I stepped out the door to find n/n.
I didn't have to look very far,
She was right outside the door.
She opened her mouth to say something, but I picked her up in a bone crushing hug.
Which she returned.

(End of memory)

I held the note tightly as something wet fell down my cheeks.
I touched my face to feel tears.
I sniffed and placed the note back beside the Cactus.
I didn't say anything for hours I just stared at the wall,
As the salty tears raced down my cheeks.
No one said much to each other all day.
As if they were all in there own bubbles.
Trying to see if what happened really happens.
I sat there in silence for hours.
Time seemed to fly by as hours came and went.
Everyone and everything was silent.
The only noises that could be heard were the soft rainfall from outside.
I turned to see the time which read 9pm.
My cheeks never seemed to stay dry as they were constantly replaced with new tears.
For the first time I didn't know what to do.
So I sat there alone in the dark gloomy room.

Words: 583
