Graces p.o.v.

They chased my down as I ran. I was sobbing. The gang walked in smiling. I screamed for help but no one did. Just then bob walked in with a gun. Darry and Dallas stepped forward beside him. All three of them held up guns and-

"Grace wake up! Wake up it's just a nightmare!" Darry said, lightly shaking me and sounding frantic. I looked at him and realized I was curled up in a ball, sobbing yelling don't shoot.

10 minutes later Dallas got me uncurled and sat up I realized all of the boys were looking at me worriedly.

"Grace are you ok?" Pony boy asked. Even two bit looked worried and serious. "I'm fine." I said trying to sound tuff but it came out shaky and weak. I wiped my tears away and tried get up but Darry pushed me back down. "You're not fine and you're not moving until you tell us what's wrong." Steve growled.

"I don't want to talk about." I attempted to snap but it came out quivering and quiet. "Well then I guess we're not moving." Steve sighed and sat down on the floor.

After a few minutes of interrogating I was ready to break. I kept my mouth shut but the tears were threatening to fall. "Dammit Grace why can't you tell us stop being a wimp!" Dallas yelled. I bit my tongue but the tears still fell. "I-I'm s-s-sorry I just h-had a r-realistic nightmare." I stuttered choking back a sob.

"Oh sweetheart it's okay just tell me what happened." Darry whispered wrapping me in a hug. "Y-y-you a-and Dallas and b-b-Bob killed m-me and n-no one would h-help m-me. I said letting the tears fall.

"Oh Grace you know that would never happen." Dallas said. I nodded my head and tried to stop the tears but they wouldn't.

Over the next hour everyone piled out of the room. The tears had stopped falling and it was now just hiccups and sniffles. Dally had left to get food. Darry had called in sick to work to stay with me.

Dallas dropped off the food and left for a while. It had been 3 hours and I still hadn't moved from Darry's arms.

"Can I go to the bathroom?" Darry asked softly. I nodded my head head as he softly laid me down and left. All of a sudden there was a tapping on the window.

It was bob. When I saw him the dream came flooding back. I bit my lip to hide tears and didn't move.

"Grace!" Bob tapped on the window again. I started hyperventilating but I was still frozen in fear. "No Grace! I'm not gonna hurt you! Please just forgive me!" Bob yelled, sounding frantic through the window.

He's gonna kill me. He gonna kill me. He's gonna kill me. I don't wanna die.

I looked at the window and into his eyes. They looked hurt and worried. Then the scene from my dream flashed in my eyes. I couldn't take it. Oh no. Oh no. Oh no.

He started prying open the window as a started curling in a ball. All of a sudden I heard his voice. It's too much. I started hyperventilating even more. Where's Darrel? Did he fall in and if he did, did he at least avoid floating objects? My trying to relax myself wasn't working. I need Darry, two bit, even Steve!

Then he did the thing that made me snap. He touched my arm right where the bruise he accidentally left on me. I flinched and the guns went off in my head. I screamed and started sobbing uncontrollably.

"Grace I'm sorry I-I" he was interrupted. "Leave. Her. Alone." Darry growled. I peeked out from my ball to see Darry standing in the door way. His jaw was clenched and his fists in a ball.

"D-Darrel I-" Bob stuttered. "No leave!" Darry yelled. Bob held his ground. "I just wanna apologize."

Darry hesitated and looked at me. Then he realized how scared I was. "I said leave and if you don't leave right now things won't be pretty." Darry said, dangerously calm.

"Ok ok I'm leaving. But grace..." he said quietly. Darry was getting even more impatient. "...I love you." Then he climbed out the window and left.

I'm not ready to forgive him but, I'm not ready to forget him either.

Even as he left sobs shook my body. I love him. I can't deny it but after my dream I'm scared to even look at him.

Darry lies in bed with me, my head on his chest and his arms wrapped around me. He was like a second big brother to me.

At about 8:30 I realized how hungry I was. "Dar? I'm hungry." I mumbled into his shirt. "Okay how about I get up and get you something to eat?" He asks. I can tell he wants to get up and move but I'm scared. What if he leaves and bob shows up again?

I sigh and shake my head no. "Ok." He sound disappointed.

30 minutes later the screen door slams and I jump. "Hey it's ok it's just one of the boys." Darry whispers to calm me. All of a sudden Pony walks in with two-bit and Johnny. "Hey Darry sorry I'm late- oh." Pony said his ears turning red. "Have you moved all day?" Pony asked.

"Hey Grace is it ok if Johnny stays in here with you for a while so I can explain?" Darry whispers. I shook my head no again and cuddled deeper into his chest. "Okay then." Pony mumbled.

"Is there something going on between you two because we support you but the age gap is-" I interrupted two-bit. "Shut up Matthews." I mumbled into darry's chest. So Darry just explained everything right then and there.

"Sorry Grace Dammit now I feel bad!" Two-Bit yelled dramatically and put his hand over his chest. I sat up and they all looked at me. I think they thought I was going to get up but instead I looked two-bit right in the eyes and flipped him off while rolling my eyes and then I plopped back down and went right back to my spot.

"Grace please let me cook supper." Darry asked impatiently. "No." I said being very blunt. "Then who's gonna cook supper?" He said chuckling. "Pony." I mumbled into his shirt. He sighed. "Ok. But you do know tomorrow I have to go to work?" I groaned but nodded my head.

Supper soon came out and I sat up to eat. After eating Dallas showed up.

"I going to kill him." Dallas growled clenching his fists and unclenching them over and over. Well, at least we told him the story. "I told him not to come near you." He said. "Dal I'm fine it was all caused by a stupid dream." I said, sitting up.

"Okay then," Dallas smirked. Uh-oh I know that smirk. I get the same one when I have a plan. "If you're fine then go outside with me tomorrow." My eyes went wide as the dream played in my head and tears threatened to fall.

"No." Was all I could choke out. "Dallas can you cover for me while I go to bathroom?" Darry asks. I gripped onto him tightly. "Be a man you already went once." I said. I don't want him to leave. I'm scared.

"I'll be back." He whispered and left.

"So, you haven't come out of this room all day?" He questioned casually. I shook my head. "Well then I won't regret this." I grinned and walked over to me. Before I could react he threw me over his shoulder and took me to the living room. "Dallas Tucker Winston let me down now!" I screeched.

"Okay." He smirked. Then he threw my on the couch which I quickly realized had three people on it already. "Sorry soda, two, and Steve." I mumbled. Steve snickered. "Tucker." Everyone busted out laughing and Dallas just glared and walked out of the house.

Well, I guess we pissed him off.

"Hey Grace. Johnny and I are gonna hang out around the town Saturday since it's our last weekend before school. You wanna come?" Crap that's when I'll have to face Bob. It was only Thursday I have a bit time anyway. No worries. I shrugged my shoulders. "Sure." I smiled softly At Johnny. He smiled back. We were the kind of friends that didn't have to talk.

We watched movies for a while. I realized Darry had stood in the door and was watching us. He smiled softly. I fell asleep on the floor. Johnny, pony, and soda all on the couch and Darry in the chair.

That was the best sleep I've had in a long time.
