Chapter 6

Jughead's POV:

She ran off to the bathroom I tried to grasp onto her but she was too fast. Pops came out with the food so I told him to wait and I'll be back.
I walked into the girls bathroom, I don't care no ones here anyway. 'Betty, are you okay?' I said, she didn't answer all I could hear was her crying quietly. 'Betts let me in, what happened what did he do. I can help.' still had no reply. 'Please. Our foods here. Or I can just take you straight home.' the door slowly opened. There was a girl stood there with lovely blonde locks of hair bouncing on her shoulders, but her eyes were puffy and red from where she had been crying. 'Oh Betty' I said as I pulled her into a hug. She began to cry more, I just pulled her in closer. 'Hey it's okay he won't come near you again, next time I'll make sure both his legs are snapped into 2' I whisper. 'I'm sorry ,I'm acting silly. I swear I'm not normally like this, he just triggers horrible memories.' 'No need to apologize princess, you've done nothing wrong' I said wiping her eyes. 'Come on before our food gets cold' I said leading her out the bathroom to our booth.
We were both eating In peace till she said 'thanks' 'for what' I replied. 'For breaking his nose. Not many people would do that for me, but you did, so thanks.' I think I blushed a bit. 'Well it's what I do. Break people's noses, legs, arms, whatever there is' I said. She giggled a bit and carried on drinking her milkshake.

Betty's POV:

Tonight was oddly good but bad at the same time. 'I'm sorry we used up most of this to help me and my mental breakdown' 'Betty stop blaming yourself, it's fine' 'you sure' 'of course' 'ok well bye have a nice night, you'll probably show up out of nowhere tomorrow' I said. 'Yeh you too bye princess' he smirked before walking down the hallway out of the front door to his bike, I opened the door to my apartment and fell onto the sofa, I grabbed the remote and began to flick through the channels.

I had slowly began to full asleep on the couch till the front door swans open and hit the wall. 'Jughead is that you?' I said due to him always being loud. I sat up and saw Toni standing there holding a girls hand. 'Oh sorry Betty didn't realize you were home.' Toni said blushing. I looked at the girl and straight away recognized her. I jumped up and swung my arms around her and she did the same. 'Is there a chance you two know each other.' Toni asked confused. 'Oh my god Oh my god Oh my god, is this real, are you really here?' I smiled. 'Yes it's me Betty!' 'OhbCheryl I missed you so much I thought you were dead when your left me in the hell hole I called home' I said squeezing her tighter. We all sat down and we explained to Toni that we were cousins and that Cheryl was like the best relative I had, we were really close but one day she went, and didn't say bye. 'So where did you go, why, where do you live now, please don't leave me again.' I asked Cheryl, 'well I joined a gang , the serpents, when I left they helped hide me from my family, I really am sorry Betty, I just couldn't live with my family anymore and I knew they would search for me, any contact with you could risk both of us.' She frowned. 'no way, you joined the serpents, how comes I haven't seen you around the bar?' 'well I've been in LA for the last month.' She said. 'oh that explains it' I smiled.

Toni turnt to me 'so Betty how was your date?' She smirked, 'oooo now who is this Betty cooper was on a date with' Cheryl said. 'Jughead' Toni replied. 'Ooo I would totally go out with him if I was straight' Cheryl laughed. 'It was not a date more of a forced hangout' I explained. 'Yeh yeh, I've seen you two around here, always got that tension in the air' Toni smirked. 'Sexual tension?' Cheryl questioned 'you know it' Toni smirked clicking her fingers. 'That's so not true, he's just a really flirtatious asshole' I laughed. 'Ok if he such an asshole then tell me you didn't have a good time.' Toni said. I didn't say anything. 'I knew it you had a great time didn't you, where'd you go, he probably took you to his apartment' she smirked. 'Actually we went to the drive in then watched the sunset at his secret spot and then went pops' I said. 'Awwww' they both said. 'Oh shut up' I laughed hitting them with a pillow.

My eyes fluttered open and I leaned up and noticed I was on the sofa with Toni and Cheryl who were half asleep I put my hand on my head, I had a painful headache. I glanced around and noticed the beer and wine bottles on the coffee table,woo I love hangovers. I lay back down and flick through the channels, reading the time in the corner 10:21am.
The front door cracks open I glance over and see Jughead. 'Okay didn't think I'd find 22 year old women still having sleepovers' he said. 'We got drunk and fell asleep on the sofa, I really need to get up and get some paracetamol' I said pulling myself off the sofa. 'Are we just leaving them there' he said glancing at them. 'No you can help me carry them to Toni's bed' I replied. He glanced at me and frowned. 'Well I can't do it alone, plus this sofa is lumpy as shit and trust me after sleeping on it your back will kill. Well mine does and I had two people laying on me' I explained. 'Fine' he sighed grabbing Toni and putting her on her bed then Cheryl. I tucked them I'm like children. I closed the door and went to the kitchen to get some cereal.
'So why are you here?' I asked grabbing a bowl and walked to the sofa, 'I don't know actually, I just normally show up around now' he explained. 'Well sorry to pop your bubble but no ones awake yet including me, so yeh, night.' 'I just spent 5 minutes of my time to get here now your kicking me out' he huffed. 'No I said I was going to sleep your welcome to wait for someone to wake up.' I said turning on the tv and flicking through the channels. 'How is this sleeping?' Jughead asked. 'It helps me sleep.' I replied as he sat on the sofa next to me.
