"You can't tell anyone." I say to a very startled Chrissy. I just explained everything that was going on and what just happened.

She was caught in a daze, it seemed. Well, more like in shock.

As for Chandler, he was fine. Not a scratch on his head. Apparently, he went through the right exit and came out the haunted house just as he was supposed to. All apart of Derek's plan...

Part of me wanted to grab the gun and shoot Derek but of course I couldn't. I'd be arrested. Just because we're werewolves doesn't mean we get special privileges, unfortunately.

"Why can't you just tell Chandler, he'll get his pack to fight Derek's and -"

"You should know how that turns out." I snap at her, "Half the pack always ends up dying."

Chrissy just stares at me for a while.

"Fine but if anything like this happens again-"

"It won't." I promise her, "It's just one of his games to try to prove how dangerous and bad he thinks he is."

Chandler starts walking up to us and the conversation drops instantly.

"That was sick!!" He exclaims and I have to force myself to nod and laugh along.

I was still a bit shaked up honestly. My legs and hands were trembling.

"You okay?" Chandler notices.

"Yeah, it's just really chilly outside."

Few days later -

"I still don't understand why us werewolves have to go to high school, I mean it's not like we have to work-"

We were sitting at the lunch table, Chandler rambling on about something like he usually does. And usually I would be amused and caught up in what he was saying but this time, I haven't heard a word. I've been distracted, watching Derek from across the cafeteria. His whole gang took up the circle table they were sitting at. I also noticed how all of them had tattoos and wore dark colored clothes. They honestly were intimidating. Staring at Derek though, I couldn't help but reminisce on how he used to be. Derek was such a bubbly, polite kid. He was actually even preppy. It hurt to think about how close we were. Other than Chrissy, he was also my best friend.

Did he change because I rejected him? No, that couldn't be it. We were kids.

When he started hanging with the kids that did drugs, and got into a bunch of trouble, I couldn't even believe it. That just wasn't the Derek I knew. I remember one time, my brothers were talking about how they had seen him at a party, smoking and selling.

It was as if a lightbulb had turned on inside my head, or I had finally found the missing puzzle piece. Staring at Derek and his group, I couldn't help but wonder if they were apart of the same gang Chandler was in. And possibly, just maybe... Derek might be the leader. What if he was the one trying to get back at Chandler for leaving. Chandler did say he never met the guy he was working for, he just followed orders from him that other people told him to do.

It was just then when Derek's head snapped up and his eyes found their way to mine. I wanted to look away embarrassingly, but I couldn't. As soon as he winked at me, it was then when I turned away.

"Babe?"

"Yeah?" I ask startled as Chandler looks at the carton of his milk, eyebrows furrowed.

"Did you hear anything I just said?"

"Yes, and I totally agree." I lie, nodding.

"Okay so you agree that we should have five kids by the time we're twenty two right?" He asks casually, smirking and my mouth drops open.
