eye of diamond in the sky

say your farewell to the day

blink your quiet lullaby

call the sparkling faeries out to play

spill your glow into the sea

of the silk and velvet night

watch the dancing sprites leap so free

off your glassy beams of light

herald of the fall of black

yet more dazzling than a firespark

glue together every crack

in the clouds with your light against the stark

so carry the stars on your silver wing

and fly me into twilight's myth
