Flashback:

"Ah, that question's gonna be a little complicated to answer." Mayari said, scratching the back of her head nervously.

"Well, your mom is..."

".......Yes?" I said, impatient for her answer.

"Uh, well kid, first, you need to know the truth about your mother's identity...."

I blinked. "What do you mean? I already know who she is."

Laka snorted. "Kid, you know nothing about her."

"That's not true! I know a lot about her!" I said, getting a little angry.

"Oh really?" Laka said, speaking in an interrogative tone. "Tell me, what do you know about her?"

"She's a single Spanish-Filipino mother named Hannah Balatik who takes care of her weirdo child and earns money by taking an abnormal amount of side jobs that gives little to no money." I said with confidence.

"Ok. How old is she?"

I choked on my turon. "What?" I said incredulously.

"She's 18." Laka repeated, though she made it slower and more annoying.

"B-but how is that even possible! Do you really think I'm gonna believe my mom is actually two years older than me?!?"

"Well, let's start from the start, shall we, so we don't break your mind permanently." Mayari suggested.

She then raised her hand, and again, symbols!

"Seriously, where do the symbols come from?" I said, irritated

"Seriously, where do the symbols come from?" I said, irritated.

Mayari laughed and grinned at me. "I'll tell you later."

"Why? Are we going somewhe-"

The golden symbols then started to glow brightly, so bright that I had to cover my eyes yet again, and when I opened them, I gasped.

I was in a completely different place and body.
