~Melina's POV~

Kaliah: "wow so she didn't try to argue with you?" She asked in awe

Zo and dip took the kids to practice with them even though I volunteered to watch them so me and Kaliah just sat around, talked, and drank wine

I had just finished telling her about my encounter with ivy

Kaliah: "I just can't believe she's still with jalen"

"I mean they DO have a kid"

Kaliah: "so you telling me that if Melo treated you the way jalen treated ivy you'd stick around because of Liam?"

"If Melo treated me like that there wouldn't even be a Liam" I said as I sipped my wine

Kaliah: "preach and speaking of you and melo, how are y'all"

"We're great! I have no complaints" I said with a smile

Kaliah: "Imma need you to hurry up and become mrs. Ball already" she laughed

"Been there, done that" I said plainly

I instantly became wide eyed as I sat my cup down

Okay that's enough wine for me

Kaliah: "I figured" she laughed

"Huh?"

Kaliah: "you're not very good at hiding it" she smiled as she grabbed my hand and played with my ring

"How long have you known?"

Kaliah: "eh about a yeah and a half now. Back then it was just a hunch but Melo calling you his wife when he was yelling at Zo was the icing on the cake" she said as she let go of my hand

"Yeah we're married...best 4 years of my life" I smiled as I picked up my glass again

Kaliah: "was y'all serious about having another kid?"

"At first yeah but then Melo got traded and we knew he'd be too busy for another kid so we're gonna wait plus we can barely handle Liam" I admitted

Kaliah nodded and sipped her drink

"Why don't YOU have any kids yet?" I asked with laughter

Kaliah: "I do. I'm just not a regular mother...I'm a godmother"

I couldn't help but laugh

"You don't want wanna go half on a baby with anybody?" I asked with laughter

Kaliah: "Nah not any more."

"Oooh spill it" I said knowing she had tea to serve

Kaliah: "I used to be head over heels for don but his ass couldn't get it together."

"Melo always told me it was because he was feeling somebody else"

Kaliah: "bitch it was you!" She laughed

I shook my head

Kaliah: "before we even found out Melo knew you don would always say how he could easily get ya number and shit. Melo would say just about anything to get him to shut up" she said before busting out laughing

"Like what?"

Kaliah: "first he told us you had a man and when don asked him what he looked like the only details he would give us was y'all and light skin"

I bust out laughing

Kaliah: "then he told us that he lied about that but you WAS in relationship and when don asked with who Melo said ivy..now that we believed because y'all seemed hella close but my question was; how the hell did he know that?"

I laughed and shook my head

Kaliah: "he told us that he just assumed and that made don keep talking. I used to get real pissed and complain about how you dressed but that's only cause the nigga I was in love with didnt love my sorry ass. I never really meant the shit" she laughed

Now that's how I know Kaliah a real one. She just admitted to talking shit about me and admitting she was jealous. No other female would've done that

Kaliah: "the funny thing is..I knew Melo knew you because there was no way he was gonna defend anybody he didn't know personally. I also assumed he liked you or that y'all must've secretly talked but it didn't end well cause I'd always catch him staring. I used to tease him that he'd make you uncomfortable and you'd change classes"

"Melo used to tell me how don was always saying stupid shit but I just figured it was a boys thing"

Kaliah: "secret time?" She asked

Yes me and melo includes her in our secret time

I nodded my head

Kaliah: "don and melo didn't speak to each other for a month after he found out Melo knew you"

"Why?!"

Kaliah: "don has this crazy idea that Melo should've set y'all up and melo told him that he wasn't gonna do that so don cursed him out, said some things about melo fucking the whole school and keeping every girl for himself. melo told him not to group you in with them school thoties and don asked what the difference was so Melo punched him. The fought and didn't speak for a whole month"

"But I remember siting with y'all and stuff"

Kaliah: "oh they were cordial in school but once we got home don pretended he didn't know Melo and if he did tag along he'd play nice for a while then talk his shit when we got home. That's one of the main reasons I stopped liking him"

I shook my head

Kaliah: "the day we came and y'all was in the pool don played it cool but when you walked into the house with zoey he went the fuck off and left" she laughed

"Mad ass nigga."

Kaliah: "I don't think he cares that much any more since you and melo have a kid but man if he ever finds out y'all married he might just jump of a bridge....and I'll be right at the bottom"

"Catching him?"

Kaliah: "no bitch! Recording" she said causing me to fall out my damn seat in laughter

Ivy was never this bold nor this fun
