The Fight to Save a Life

Mikey and Nora's eyes went wide. They backed away, much to their dismay. Mikey and Nora looked towards the entrance, only to be met with Mikey's Brothers' shocked faces. Leo stood straight, looking at Mikey with shock and fear. Raph had his fists clenched with a look of anger and shock. Donnie was covering his mouth with his hand, pure shock plaguing his features. Mikey slowly stood up and walked in front of Nora. He didn't know what he was doing or why. He just had the sudden urge to protect Nora from his Brothers. So, there Mikey stood, readying a battle stance. His brothers continued to look at Mikey with shock. Nora slowly stood up behind Mikey. Raph saw this and pointed a finger at Nora. "Mikey, look out!" Raph yelled protectively. Mikey tensed and turned around, only to be met with worried Chestnut Brown eyes. Mikey's tension slowly decreased. He smiled towards Nora lovingly. Nora, being pulled out of the worrying trance, smiled lovingly back at Mikey. The Brothers saw this and attempted to advance towards the two. Mikey felt this change and turned towards his Brothers. He was glaring daggers at them and showed his fangs. A low growl emitted from Mikey's throat. Leo looked shocked, Raph looked angry shocked, and Donnie had a confused look on his face. He stopped moving before tilting his head. 'Turtles aren't supposed to growl...' Donnie thought matter-of-factly. Mikey slowly grabbed his nunchucks, much to his Brothers' confusion. Mikey took a deep breath before continuing to growl. That deep breath was all he needed to Mental Link Nora. {Nora, I need you to leave, now!} Mikey mentally yelled. Nora gave him a confused look before he repeated himself. {Nora, leave; Now!} Mikey mentally yelled again, this time with a more protective tone. Nora sighed. {What about you...?} Nora thought worriedly. Mikey's Brothers began to slowly advance towards the two again. {I'll be fine; You, on the other hand, won't be if they catch you!} Mikey thought anxiously. Nora sighed again before turning around and running towards a small tunnel. Raph saw her movements before running after her. Before he could hit her, however, he soon found himself on the ground. This confused him, for he didn't see her kick him. Suddenly, he was being lifted up, only for him to be tossed at Leo. Raph yelled, confusing Leo. This confusion turned into shock when the two Eldest Brothers collided. Donnie froze and looked at the scene that played before him. Mikey had swiftly knocked Raph down, lifted him up, and tossed him at Leo, knocking the both of them down. Donnie's eyes widened when Mikey turned towards him. Swallowing the lump in his throat, Donnie reached his hand for his Bo Staff. As soon as his hand touched his staff, however, he found himself on the ground. He grabbed at his head, which was pounding. Everything began to spin for the last Eldest Brother. Once his vision cleared, he saw Mikey looming over him, eyes beginning to glow Pink. Donnie tilted his head again. 'Pink...?' 'If anything, they should glow Blue or even Red!' 'Actually, they shouldn't be glowing at all!' Donnie thought frantically. From the corner of his eye, he saw Raph getting up to go towards the tunnel that Nora was long gone from. Mikey turned fast on his heels before jumping towards Raph. Once Mikey was in front of his Elder Brother, he round-house kicked Raph towards Donnie. Donnie yelped before being hit by an angry Raph. When Leo finally stood up, Mikey punched him in the gut and tossed him near his other Brothers. After the three Brothers were toppling over one another, Mikey slowly walked towards them. Donnie noticed how Mikey's eyes were fully Pink, no longer glowing the new eye color. 'What's happened to him...?' Donnie thought worriedly, fear beginning to grow. His baby Brother's once Baby Blue eyes were now a Sakura Pink, a cold glare keeping time. Donnie noticed how there were a few sparks in said eyes, sending a colder chill to the three Eldest Brothers. As soon as Mikey stood in front of his Elder Brothers, he knelt down. With a huff, he softly spoke. "Nobody - and I mean nobody - touches my Mate..." Mikey stated dispassionately, the only emotion that was evident was rage. His Elder Brothers looked at Mikey with shock and fear. Mikey held up his fist before bringing it down, causing everything to go black for the terrified Turtles.

Slowly, Leo, Raph, and Donnie's eyes began to flutter open. Donnie sat up, gingerly rubbing his head. He looked around. Leo and Raph did the same. They looked to be in the Main Lair, having laid their backs down on the couch. Leo looked over to the Dojo. There, standing with his hands folded and a look of concern, was none other than Splinter. Once Raph and Donnie followed their Eldest Brother's gaze, Leo stood up. He felt wobbly, but attempted to stand straight. 'Why is it so hard to stand straight?' 'Did I get bit by Fish Face?' Leo thought cautiously. Splinter sighed before walking towards his Eldest Son, earning confused looks in the process. 'This will take some explaining, for sure...' Splinter thought coolly. Once he stood in front of Leo, he looked over the Turtles. Leo - as well as Raph and Donnie - had minor scrapes and bruising. Splinter could only take this with a layer of salt. With a gentle nudge from his Father, Leo fell back on the couch. This surprised the three Brothers, while Splinter still looked concerned. Donnie looked around. He glared, trying to see through the blurring fog in his Crimson Red eyes. He held back a gasp. 'Didn't Mikey come back with us...?' Donnie thought worriedly, the memory of those Sakura Pink eyes returning to him. He cringed slightly, feeling the sudden chill those eyes brought. 'Mikey's eyes have never done that before...' 'If anything, there would be positivity in them; Not pure rage...' Donnie thought again. He turned his head back at Splinter before giving him a questioning look. "Master Splinter... Where's Mikey?" Donnie asked quizzically, sounding raspy from waking up. Splinter sighed again before turning towards Mikey's bedroom door. The three Brothers followed their Father's gaze in confusion. They could see scratch marks on said door, each mark leaving a deep snare in the dark wood. This made them feel more confused and fearful than ever. 'What happened...?' Donnie thought worriedly, a hint of fascination showing. Donnie slowly shook his head before hearing a shaky voice. "Michelangelo..." Splinter shakily started, waking the three Brothers from their trance. They faced Splinter with concern, his still being plastered on his once calm features. He closed his eyes out of anxiousness, something none of his sons have seen. "Michelangelo came back with you three in his arms..." Splinter stated worriedly. The three Brothers had widened eyes. Splinter ignored this and continued. "When I had asked him what happened, he stated that you three 'needed to be taught a lesson'." Splinter continued. The Brothers gave each other looks of fear, much to Splinter's confusion. He took a deep breath. "He placed you three on the couch before walking towards his room. I noticed how his eyes were Pink. So when I asked him what happened to his eyes, he growled and scratched his door. After he had entered and shut said door, I walked towards it to hear him snarling. I have never heard your Brother growl nor snarl, so I grew worried. After that, I watched over you three to see if you were alright." Splinter finished in a worried manner. This worried the Elder Brothers deeply. Donnie slowly stood up. He stood there for a moment, just in case he wobbled. When he didn't feel anything, he turned towards Splinter. Splinter looked confused. Donnie took a shaky breath before speaking. "Did Mikey's eyes glow Pink when he looked at you?" Donnie asked cautiously. Splinter slowly tilted his head. He closed his eyes, deep in thought. Raph slowly stood up and helped Leo stand. Leo was still wobbly, while Raph and Donnie were doing fine. Donnie sighed and looked at the couch. He raised an invisible brow.
