"Hey Brooklyn would you mind. Oh." I heard my mom from the backdoor.

I quickly moved away from Connor and held my hands behind my back. I could feel myself blushing. I looked over at Connor, he was running his fingers through his hair and looking down at the ground.

"Sorry to interrupt, you must be Michael!" My mom embraced Connor in a hug.

"Nice to meet you Mrs. Taylor." Connor smiled, flipping his hair.

"Mom this is actually Connor. Connor Dawson, our neighbor."

She looked at me like I had three heads.

"Oh! I am so sorry Connor, my apologies."

"No need. It's okay." He chuckled.

My eyes suddenly became wide and my heart rate increased.

"Mom where are Dad, Blake, and Skylar?"

"Well your father dropped off Blake at his friend Gregg's house, and Skylar is spending the night at your fathers. I was actually about to head out to the store, do you kiddos need anything?"

I almost gagged at how she refered to us as kiddos.

"I think were good, right Connor?"

"Were okay, but thanks." He smirked.

"Alright ill be back in a few. Bye!"
I turned to Connor completely embarrassed by my mother, she can be such a spaz sometimes. "I am so sorry."
"No need, she seems nice." He put his arm around me " Who did she think I was?"
I chuckled. "She thought you were Michael." I trailed off. "OH MY GOD MICHAEL!"
I ran to the pool side table to get my phone. When I picked it up, it said I had no missed calls, messages, or texts. What? He did not forget our date!
Then again I forgot our date.
"Who is Michael! You look like you're gonna pass out jeez."
"The guy I was supposed to go on the date with," I checked the time, "two hours ago!" I instantly called him.
Ring....ring....ring...
Come one pick up
Ring....
"Hello?"
Thank god.
"Hi, hi Michael I was just wondering what happened to our plans for the afternoon?" Connor stood in front of me with his arms crossed, staring me down. I raised an eyebrow at him.
"i could ask you the same question."
My heart immediately started raising. "Wh- what do you mean?" I stuttered.
"I showed up and you weren't answering your phone, so I rang the doorbell. But no one answered. I heard talking from the back so I walked around the side of the house and saw you and some punk making out."
"I can explain."
"Oh please do." He said in a cocky tone.
"He's not my boyfriend!"
"Oh I get it! You're just a slut." Without hesitation he insulted me.
"Excuse me?" I added attitude to my voice.
"Goodbye Brooklyn, sorry I wasted both of our time. At least the rest of the school will know who you really are."
With that he hung up. I stood there in disbelief, I had never been called anything close to that before. How dare he. How dare he! Call me a slut? Ha!
Or was he right? I mean, I have basically played three guys in the last 48 hours. This never happened before....
Dawson.
Tears started to roll down my eyes. I wasn't holding these in, they needed to roll out.
"Brookie what did he say to you?" Connor crouched down by me and out his hand on my knee. I grabbed it and shoved him back.
"Do NOT call me that!" I poked his chest.
"Woah babe calm down." He grabbed my hand and tried to hug me.
"No! No! This is your fault! This is all your fault!" I put my hands up to my head, pacing back and fourth.
"I was a good girl, a good person, and then I got involved with a boy like you." I wiped running mascara from underneath my eyes.
"Like what?" He said, his voice louder, stern. "What kind of stereotypical guy am I today?"
"Don't play games. You know what you did!" I screamed. I started to walk to the sidewalk in the front.
"What did I do!" He pulled me back as he shouted.
"You ruined me."
I turned around and stood directly in front of his face, looking up a little, speaking to him straight in his eyes.
"And you know what the most disgusting part of that is?" I laughed.
"You knew you were too. And you didn't stop."
