King Garret releases Queen Synthia and me. I try to dry my face as efficiently as possible, but I still look a mess.
"We are here to personally tell you the news." announces King Garret "Since we've resigned the throne to Kaleb, but because he is no longer with us, he left the kingdom to you in his will."
"What about royal blood? I thought the next in line gets the throne." I'm surprised I would even be an option!
"No prince has left a will before, so it's new and he obviously really wanted you to have it." The Kings voice is strong and confident.
"What if, I don't want it?"
"Well then Seth, will become King." I pause thinking and I question,"May I continue living here?"
Queen Synthia looks to me with disbelief. I'm thrown by the look. "Yes! Your our daughter, of course you can!" I break down in her arms and thank them both. "Honestly, I wouldn't be able to run the kingdom without Kaleb."
"Understood." States King Garret
With that the King and Queen left. I stand staring at the front door of which they left from. I don't know why but I do.
"Princess Jinx?"
"Yes?" I respond without looking to see who it was.
"Your going to die."
I'm shocked, flabbergasted even, and before I can turn to see who, a black bag is thrown over my head! I kick and scream, trying to escape the assailant, but it's no use. Something hard strikes my head and I black out.
