Glee club practice on Wednesday:

"OK people, day 2 of Empowerment Week." Will said.  "Who's up first today?"  "Mr. Schue, Unique & I had a request, we'd like to do a duet." Jane said  "By all means." Will stated, smiling.

With that, the two girls prepared to sing:

(Note: Bold is Jane, Italics is Unique, Underlined text is them together)

An old man turned ninety-eight
He won the lottery and died the next day

It's a black fly in your Chardonnay
It's a death row pardon two minutes too late

Isn't it ironic, don't you think

It's like rain on your wedding day
It's a free ride when you've already paid
It's the good advice that you just didn't take
Who would've thought, it figures

Mr. Play It Safe was afraid to fly
He packed his suitcase and kissed his kids good-bye
He waited his whole damn life to take that flight
And as the plane crashed down he thought
"Well, isn't this nice."
And isn't it ironic, l don't you think

It's like rain on your wedding day
It's a free ride when you've already paid
It's the good advice that you just didn't take
Who would've thought, it figures

Well, life has a funny way of sneaking up on you
When you think everything's okay and everything's going right

And life has a funny way of helping you out when
You think everything's gone wrong and everything blows up
In your face

A traffic jam when you're already late

A no-smoking sign on your cigarette break
It's like ten thousand spoons when all you need is a knife
It's meeting the man of my dreams
And then meeting his beautiful wife
And isn't it ironic, don't you think
A little too ironic, and yeah I really do think

It's like rain on your wedding day
It's a free ride when you've already paid
It's the good advice that you just didn't take
Who would've thought, it figures

Well, life has a funny way of sneaking up on you
And life has a funny way of helping you out
Helping you out.

The Glee club applauded and cheered the two girls' performance.  Jane & Unique embraced and smiled with each other.  "Now that is what I call empowerment in-sync." Will said, clapping.  "Alright, who's up next?" He asked. "May I go Mr. Schue?" Madison spoke up.  "Sure Madison. Sing your heart out."

Madison began to sing:

Well I thought I knew you, thinking that you were true
Guess I, I couldn't trust called your bluff time is up
'Cause I've had enough
You were there by my side, always down for the ride
But your joy ride just came down in flames cause your greed sold me out in shame

After all of the stealing and cheating you probably think that
I hold resentment for you
But uh uh, oh no, you're wrong
'Cause if it wasn't for all that you tried to do, I wouldn't know
Just how capable I am to pull through
So I want to say thank you
Cause it

'Cause it makes me that much stronger
Makes me work a little bit harder
It makes me that much wiser
So thanks for making me a fighter
Made me learn a little bit faster
Made my skin a little bit thicker
Makes me that much smarter
So thanks for making me a fighter

Never saw it coming, all of your backstabbing
Just so you could cash in on a good thing before I'd realize your game
I heard you're going round playing, the victim now
But don't even begin feeling I'm the one to blame
'Cause you dug your own grave
After all of the fights and the lies cause you're wanting to haunt me
But that won't work anymore, no more,
It's over
'Cause if it wasn't for all of your torture
I wouldn't know how to be this way now and never back down
So I want to say thank you
Cause it

'Cause it makes me that much stronger
Makes me work a little bit harder
It makes me that much wiser
So thanks for making me a fighter
Made me learn a little bit faster
Made my skin a little bit thicker
Makes me that much smarter
So thanks for making me a fighter

How could this man I thought I knew
Turn out to be unjust so cruel
Could only see the good in you
Pretended not to know the truth
You tried to hide your lies, disguise yourself
Through living in denial
But in the end you'll see
You won't stop me

I am a fighter and I
I ain't going to stop
There is no turning back
I've had enough

'Cause it makes me that much stronger
Makes me work a little bit harder
It makes me that much wiser
So thanks for making me a fighter
Made me learn a little bit faster
Made my skin a little bit thicker
Makes me that much smarter
So thanks for making me a fighter

You thought I would forget,
But I remember
'Cause I remember
I remember
You thought I would forget,
But I remember
'Cause I remember
I remember

'Cause it makes me that much stronger
Makes me work a little bit harder
It makes me that much wiser
So thanks for making me a fighter
Made me learn a little bit faster
Made my skin a little bit thicker
Makes me that much smarter
So thanks for making me a fighter

The Glee club cheered Madison's performance. Mason smiled at his sister giving her a wink as well.  "Well done Madison." Will said.

With that the bell rang.  "OK, that does it for day 2 people; more with Empowerment week tomorrow." Will said.

After everyone left, Sam looked to Will. "Can I talk with you?" He asked. "Sure Sam, what's up?"  "I'm worried about Kitty. She seems to be hiding something inside. I know she looks like she's having a good time in Glee Club, but I think there's something on her mind; I talked with Ryder & Jake yesterday after school, and they told me she was attacked by Bree in the hallway while two football players held her down. Marley saved her, but then Kitty ran off crying."  "I'll keep an eye on her." Will said. "Thanks for letting me know. If you hear anything else, tell me." He instructed. "Will do." Sam said with a nod.

Kitty walked out hand-in-hand with Marley, but to her shock standing in the hallway was her brother Scott. However, he didn't have his usual badass demeanor. He looked lost, somewhat remorseful and hurt.  "Kitty?" Scott asked. "OK." Kitty said with an awkward look in her eyes. "I'll catch you later Marley." "Sure." Marley said and walked away.  "What do you want Scott?" Kitty asked.  "We need to have a talk." Scott said.

And with that, Day 2 of Empowerment Week on Glee is complete. However, Kitty & Scott have finally met after all these years. In the next chapter, the two siblings will have a much-needed and long-awaited conversation with each other. What will happen?

The songs sung by the respective Glee Club members in this chapter are:

1. Jane & Unique- "Ironic" by Alanis Morissette

2. Madison- "Fighter" by Christina Aguilera
