𝓞ne thing Nadine would never understand was everyone's ability to accept boys' behavior. She hated hearing the casual "Boys will be boys," and "They only tease you because they like you." If that was the case, Billy Andrews must've liked her a whole lot, but she'd never entertain him.
She found the boy incredibly pompous, and never agreed with any of the things he did. All of his hair tugging and notes he passed her didn't make her heart warm the way Josie Pye told her it should, it just annoyed her to bits. But Nadine was lady-like. She tried to shrug him off and politely decline his advanced, but the moment she witnessed Anne Shirley-Cuthbert crack her slate across Gilbert Blythe's cheek, she decided that she could behave that way too. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀

— nadine starts off so polite and sweet, but she sees anne snap so the bad bitch hops out
— she's also josie's best friend, josie is like the devil's advocate and nadine is the angel's advocate, and they fall apart throughout the story
— anne, diana, and nadine are a TRIO
— if you take this farther than s1 and decide for nadine to have an actual love interest, pls choose someone like jerry or moody
— billy gets slapped, you should've seen it coming, but it's not when he keeps pursuing nadine, it's when he insults anne and she doesn't like that
— don't make her question liking billy, she will never like him okay
— at some point, nadine's behavior gets back to her parents and they force her to go to the andrews' home and apologize which is super humiliating for her
— she almost goes back to the way she was before with josie as her best friend until diana and anne talk some sense into her
— her family is actually close with the andrews' so after the apology he asks if he's allowed to "see" nadine and her parents are all "see nadine, he's a good boy if he's still interested after the way you behaved"
