What her parents knew was that Piper had the best grades in her class (all thanks to Ben Hanscom and a few other nerds), she had the most enthusiasm (voted cheerleader of the year three times in a row), she came home thirty minutes before curfew (always), she'd never skip church (that'd be the one thing to set her dad off), and there was no way she'd do half the nasty things girls like Beverly Marsh did.
But that isn't the real Piper. The real version of her is the opposite of what was put on display outside of school. Instead of being a goody-goody, Piper Milton is the kind of girl she rumors her peers to be. Everyone her age knew that, yet for some strange reason, Stan Uris chose to ignore it. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀

— piper can live, but she doesn't come out perfectly fine, she goes for a badass moment like they always do but she doesn't end up the hero
