Frank's POV

I wait near the entrance of the small restaurant, taking in all the smells of everyone else's half-devoured pizzas.

The bell dings, marking the arrival of a new customer. Out of habit, I look to the glass door to see who's there. I smile when I see him.

"Gerard," I greet, waving him over. He notices me and nears. "What's up?"

"Uh, just getting something to eat."

"Yeah. Wanna sit together? Not that many tables open." We looked around, confirming my statement. All but one of the dirty wooden tables were taken.

"Sure. I'm gonna go put in my order, I'll meet you there."

I nod and we go our separate ways. He comes back shortly with a receipt and sits down across from me.

"What'd you get?" I ask.

"Cheese."

"Boring," I tease him.

He laughs and I smile at the sound.

"Oh yeah? What'd you get?"

"Veggie."

He makes a face of slight disgust and confusion. "Weirdo."

"Hey! Shut up, I'm a vegetarian," I smile and shrug, tapping a quarter on the table.

"Frank Iero?" a lady calls out. I sigh.

"What was that sigh for?" Gerard asks.

"She mispronounced my last name," I respond, scoffing a bit, before getting up to grab my food.

I thank the lady with a fake smile plastered on my face and carry the delicious-looking pizza back to the table. Gerard ordered not long after me, so I suspect that his will be done soon.
