"I call her the devil, cause she makes me want to sin,

and every time she knocks, I can't help but let her in."

So what if Taehyung saves children's lives for a living? Big deal

So what if Taehyung saves children's lives for a living? Big deal. It doesn't mean he's a good person.

Oh fuck, who am I kidding. Of course it does.

But what if it's all an act?

I shouldn't trust him. I shouldn't trust anyone.

Men lie, deceive and manipulate to get what they want. They're selfish, egoistical and narcissistic human beings. They love to play with fire. And do you know what happens to people who play with fire?

They get burnt, of course.

As if I needed to be reminded how hypocritical I was being, my spirit soared at the sight of Taehyung in a loose white sateen shirt and beige slacks. His jet black hair illuminated by the last sunrays spread across the horizon, rich red hues blended with orange and even tangerine. His face aglow with the golden shades, his chocolate brown orbs drifted to the distance as his pink lips wore a small smile.

Oh fuck me.

Literally.

The beauty of the sunset only intensified his effect on me. For the first time in my eons of existence, I felt small and inadequate. Is this how women feel in front of this man? I pity them.

And right now I pity myself, too.

"An amusement park?" I arched a brow as Taehyung led me into the colorful sea of people. Distant chatter could be overheard in the distance, cheerful tunes coming from all around us. Children were giggling and running around, people laughing and smiling through the occasional high pitched screams.

Worse than Hell.

"You don't like it?" his confidence significantly faded away judging by his voice. "We can do something else if you'd like."

I pursed my lips as we started taking a stroll down, my eyes scanning our surroundings. "It's not bad," I concluded, not wanting to hurt his feelings. Amusement parks were at the bottom of my dream places for a date and Taehyung bringing me to one managed to at least take off some of the guilt I was feeling for getting close to him.

He looked worried, but smiled nonetheless. "Which one do you want to ride first?"

You, I thought to myself.

Rubbing my chin in thought, I took a look around.

"Just so you know, I love fast-paced rides," Taehyung boasted proudly, offering me a devilish grin. "You'll have trouble keeping up with me."

"You really think so?" I smirked, finally having a clear idea of where I wanted to go first. "We can try the rollercoaster after we're done with that." I pointed a finger towards the dark looming mansion to our right.
