Eleven: Happy Ever After [Last Chapter]

Hyejin's POV

Three years have passed since Sungkyu and I have been together. Time flies so fast when you are together with the one you love. It's like I don't like each moment to end when I'm with him.

The memory when we end up being together is still vivid in my mind. Who would forget that moment which caused a stir in k-pop industry? We were in every Korean showbiz news that time.

There were even photos of us kissing and I still feel embarrassed whenever I see those.

Some of his fans accepted our relationship and some didn't but as time passed by, they accepted our relationship eventually.

Sungkyu wants me to be near him so I decided to live in Korea. I now have a small office here and a lot of clients approach me after promoting my works through online. I am so busy with my job now a days that I wasn't able to see Sungkyu for a week now.

"I can't see you again today?" Sungkyu whined on the other line, I'm talking to him on my phone.

He's been nagging me to meet him since yesterday but I can't due to tons of works I have.

"Mianhe, jagiya. You know how busy I am these days," I apologized while flipping pages of clipped papers I'm reviewing. 

"How about lunch? Let's have lunch together," he excitedly suggested.

"I have a meeting at that time. I'm really sorry, jagi."

"I can't even borrow your lunch time?" he asked with annoyance in his voice.

"Mianhe."

"Ah, forget it! I'll have lunch with myself and probably have dinner with myself again," he disappointedly said and ended the call. I've never heard him so disappointed before. Is he mad at me?

"Ms. Song, your clients have arrived," one of my employees said. I let out a heavy sigh and went out of my office to meet them.

I am making changes on the landscape sketch I'm working on. Mrs. Kang, one of my clients, wants to change some details so here I am right now. Working longer hours.. again.

I'm in the middle of erasing something when I realized that Sungkyu hasn't contacted me again after our conversation this morning. I checked the time on my wrist watch and it's now quarter to ten. I also checked my phone but there is no message from him. Is he really mad at me?

[Are you mad?] I texted him. I waited for his reply but my phone did not make a sound.

He really is mad at me. I feel guilty for prioritizing my work than him. I am so engrossed with my job that I'm already neglecting my responsibility to him as his girlfriend.

Realizing that I shouldn't be like this, I turned my laptop off, fix the landscape I'm working on, and grabbed my bag. I dialled his number while walking my way out of my office.
