"Nooo let me go" I cried trying to get out of my brother's grip
"You need to relax before the kids wake up," he said
"I hate myself," I said
He let me go and I began hitting his chest he pulled me into a hug I tried getting out of his grip but he wouldn't budge
"Shhh it's ok I'm here," he said rubbing my back as I cried into his chest
Jakova and Jaylin came into the room rubbing their eyes
"sissy you ok," Jaylin said
I wiped my eyes putting on a smile I bent down to her level pushing her hair out her face
"yeah I'm fine princess," I said
"sissy why your hand bleeding," she said
"You said you would stop," Jakova said tears in his eyes
I ran to him hugging him " I know but it's the only thing that helps " I said crying
"Mia you need to start therapy," Josh said
I sighed and nodded letting Jakova go
"Alright everyone goes back to bed y'all got school tomorrow especially you miss thang," I said tickling jaylin
She giggled "ill put her to sleep," Jakova said picking her up and leaving the room
I looked at Josh "I'm ok now" I said
He hugged me one last time and kissed my forehead before leaving my room I sighed and laid back in bed and cried myself to sleep...

I opened my locker only for it to be slammed back shut
"you don't have your little friends to save you now, "laylani said
"can you just leave me alone I'm just tryna get to class," I said
"Aww does it look like I care," she said
"maybe you should do us all a favor and kill yourself," her friend said laughing
They walked away leaving me where I was I put my books in the locker and wiped my tears making my way to the gym for practice
I saw legend and a guy was trying to guard him but legend dunked on him I raised an eyebrow at how good he was
"you gon practice or gawk over legend all day," Brooklyn said making miles laugh
"shut up I wasn't gawking," I said
"sureeee," she said
I rolled my eyes and began dribbling the ball under my legs and making a 3 pointer
"nice mia keep that form up and you will be the next girl on varsity" coach said
Making me smile
" I see you play" I voice I recognized said
I turned around to see legend "yeah I've been playing since elementary, "I said
" you're better than most of the guys on our team," he said
I chuckled "thanks," I said
I looked over at Brooklyn and she was winking and giving me a thumbs up I mugged her indicating for her to stop
Legend laughed "imma catch you later," he said licking his lips and looking me up and down
I looked down and when I looked up he was gone I turned around to my smiling best friends
"bitchhhhhh he wants you so bad," Brooklyn said
"did you see how he licked his lips," miles said
I chuckled "yall both are tripping," I said starting to dribble again
"well if you don't want him I will for sure take him," Brooklyn said
"okurrrr " miles said sticking his tongue out
I chuckle and shot the ball...

"Can I go to the store I want some chips," I said
"not by yourself it's late," Josh said
"Alright well come then," I said
He groaned and got up
"JAKOVA JAYLIN" I yelled
They both came running out the room
"go put y'all shoes on so we can go to the stoor," I said
They ran into the room and came back ready to go we all walked to the store holding hands
When we got there a guy behind us whistled and said
"damn mami let me get that"
Josh turned around "yo I know you see me and two kids right here have some fucking respect," he said
"my bad homie," he said putting his hands up
We walked into the stoor and got everything we wanted and hurried back home...
I plopped on my bed turning Netflix on and opening a bag of chips my phone went off and I saw that it was a group call from Brooklyn and miles
I answered and Brooklyn's loud ass yelled my name thru the phone
"if you wake my mamma up imma beat yo ass" miles said making me laugh and Brooklyn mug him
"aight so is you gon tell us about you and legend cause I see some connection," she said
"there's nothing to tell we met at the park and he walked me home only because it was late," I said
"Oh bitch I know your brother flipped," she said
"Actually he didn't he just told him I can't talk to the boy," I said
"shoot I love seeing your brother mad he be looking fine" miles said
"right li-" I cut her off
"before you finish that sentence imma go to bed" she laughed
"bye bitchhhh," they both said at the same time
I chuckled and hung up...
