Chapter 13

My eyes drift open. This isn't my room. I look around scared.

"Hey." I voice says. I snap my head over to the voice.

"Austin?" I ask.

He smiles at me. I smile.

"You're back." I say.

"Huh?" He asks.

"Oh my god you're back." I say.

"From what?" He asks.

"TOUR." I say. He sighs. "What's wrong? Aust, why am I here?" I ask.

He gets up and walks over to me. He sits on the bed.

"You, got hurt, so we had to take you to the hospital."

"How'd I get hurt?" I ask.

"We, we don't exactly know." He says.

"How did I, where was I when they found me?" I ask.

"Well, you were in your room, talking to me-" Austin says.

"But you weren't," I say rubbing my head. "I don't remember speaking to you." I say.

"They said you'd loose memory of recent events." He says.

"But. I don't understand, when did you get back?" I ask.

"Few months back." He says.

"Hm." I say. I sigh. "My back hurts."

"That's another thing." He says.

"Did I break my back? Am I going to die?" I ask.

"No. No, you're not gonna die I promise." He says as I lay on the bed.

"I've always hated promises." I say.

"Really?" He asks.

"Yeah. Like don't tell me something if A) You haven't done it or B) It's something you can't control. Right now, this is something you can't control." I say. "And broken promises." I say. "I just don't like promises." I say.

I see Austin smile. "I missed you." He says.

"I missed you too. How was tour?" I ask. He chuckles.

"I already had this conversation with you." He says.

"Sure but I don't remember it and I care so lay down and tell me about the flipping tour. Okay?" I say. He grins.

"Okay." He says, and lays. He starts telling me about everything. He tells me about the crowds and how many people there were and how he was extremly nervous. He tells me about this girl, Julie, that he dated. She went on tour with him. Then he says how she was already dating someone before they started and she never broke it off with the guy.

"That's wrong. I would hate that." I say. He stays silent.

"Y'know like not even mentioning that you're already in a relationship. Just hopping into the next and not finishing the other. Screwed. Up." I say. He doesn't say anything. I look at him. He then looks at me.

"You okay?" I ask.

"No." He says.

"What's wrong?" I ask.

"I screwed up." He says.

I look at the celing and close my eyes.

"Everyone screws up." I say. "Just gotta get yourself outta the ditch." I say.

"I dunno." He says. "It's the person I hurt." He says.

"Hm." I say. "What type of person, what did you do to them maybe I can help." I say.
