Griffin's back went rigid as he heard voices calling for Adaline, who seemed to still be asleep. Shaking her lightly, he hoped she'd wake soon.

“Huh? What's wrong?” Adaline murmured sleepily as she rubbed her eyes.

“Your parents, their home.” With that, Adaline's eyes popped open now fully awake as she was in danger mode moving frantically around the room in search of all her clothing. Giving up on it she simply pulled her pants back on forgetting underwear and pulled a baggy long sleeve shirt over her naked top. Taking a quick glance in the mirror, Adaline gasped at the state of her hair which was now resemblance of nest of some kind. Quickly she tugged it into sloppy bun then turned to see Griffin relaxed in his dress uniform, of course it wasn't tucked in and the tie was loose around his neck with his coat sitting across his lap. “So are you going to introduce me to your parents?”

“Are you serious?” Adaline hissed as she looked at him as if he had officially lost his mind.

“Yep.” Grinning slyly, he got up from the bed walking to her to wrap his arms around her as he buried his head in her hair. “As much as I love to smell me all over you, they'll be able to tell what we were just up to.” The color drained from her face as she pulled back to look at him. Frantically she turned around looking for a bottle of perfume, she then began to spritz herself wildly. “Well not that it masks it completely, but they certainly will have a time trying to get past that.” He chuckled as he scrunched his nose up.

“Addie?” Sarah called from the kitchen.

“Let's get this over with. But if they kick me out I'm leaving it to you to find somewhere for me to stay.” Adaline said as she pointed a finger at Griffin, who only chuckled as he followed her out the bed room door. Walking down the small hallway, she could feel her heart beating out of control in her chest. She had never angered Sarah and Miles, and she really didn't feel like losing the only thing close to a family she had in years.

“Calm down, Addie. Everything will be okay.” He held her hand tightly, gently running his thumb over the back of her hand. Griffin watched as she took one more deep breath before pushing a swinging door open that lead to the kitchen where he saw a middle aged man and woman going about their business.

Sarah turned to see Griffin standing behind Adaline, causing her to jump slightly at the unexpected visitor. “Well who are you?” Sarah questioned with a slight grin playing on the corners of her mouth.

“Sergeant Griffin Caldwell, ma'am.” Holding out his hand he waited until Sarah agreed to shake with him. “I'm Adaline's mate.”

“Oh, Addie!” Sarah swooned as she hugged her foster child tightly. “I'm so happy for you, sweetie.”

“Sarah, let the girl breath.” Miles said as he rose from his seat at the table. “Nice to meet you, Sgt. Caldwell, or can I call you Griffin.” Miles held his hand extended towards Griffin.

“Griffin is fine, sir.” He gripped Miles' hand firmly and shook then took a step back to be by Adaline's side.

“Well I'm Miles and this is my wife Sarah.” Miles said happily as he pulled his wife off Adaline. “We are very happy to see our Addie has finally found her one.”

Instantly Adaline's cheeks grew pink as she bowed her head trying to hide her embarrassment. Griffin couldn't help but to chuckle as he watched her. “I'm very lucky to have found her myself.”

“Well I hope you can stay for dinner, it can be a celebratory dinner for the two of you.” Sarah said as she rushed into the kitchen looking through the pantry and refrigerator. “You like pot roast?”
