Chapter Thirty Four

Jack and Ryan walk to the front of the station.
"Why is Sofia working?" Ryan asked.
"I don't like it either but I just got her back." Jack said.
"It's too soon." Ryan said.
"I know. We just got back from a car accident and she seemed fine. You can ask Mia Russo, our new rookie. She was with Sofia." Jack said.
"Ok. Thanks." Ryan said.
Ryan walks over to Mia.
"Mia Russo?" Ryan asked.
"What can I do for you Officer uh Tanner?" Mia asked.
"It's about my sister, Sofia. How was she during the call she had?" Ryan asked.
"She seemed fine. Why?" Mia said.
"Did she look like she was in pain like have a headache or difficulty with speech?" Ryan asked.
"Ryan, I'm fine. I've been taking my pills." Sofia said.
Ryan looked at Sofia with a worried look.
"I'm doing good. I haven't had a headache. I'm fine! Sullivan said if I can't handle it. I can sit out." Sofia said as she gets mad.
Ryan walks away frustrated. Sofia rolls her eyes and walks over to Jack.
"We need to talk." Sofia said angerily.
"What's wrong?" Jack asked.
Sofia pulls Jack into the turnout room.
"Tell me what is wrong please." Jack said.
Sofia kisses Jack.
"I need this." Sofia said.
Jack nods and kisses Sofia.
Station 19, structure fire
Sofia gets mad.
"You are staying with me. No matter what Sullivan says." Jack said.
They run to the trucks and gets to the fire.
"Russo you're still with Montgomery, everyone else partners." Sullivan said.
Jack and Sofia run up the stairs and they spot two kid rooms.
"Go left, I'll go right." Jack said.
Sofia goes in a girl's room.
"I got a boy." Jack said.
"I'll be right behind you." Sofia said.
Jack runs outside.
"I'm Sofia Tanner, I'm with the fire department. We have to get out of here." Sofia said.
"NO!" Toddler said.
"Claire is it?" Sofia said looking at her wall.
"I want to stay here!" Claire said.
Sofia takes a deep breath.
"We have to get out of here." Sofia said.
"I want my toys!" Claire said.
"Your house in fire and you can have your toys if you are dead. You are going to end up dead if you don't get out of here. Lets go before we burn alive. It will hurt." Sofia said.
"I want my toys!" Claire said.
"Hey! I don't care about your stupid toys! I care about living! And if we don't get out of here we won't survive! I'm losing air because of you! We have to go before this house goes boom!" Sofia said getting annoyed.
"I want my toys!" Claire said.
"I will drag you out of your house." Sofia said.
"No!" Claire yells loudly.
Sofia picks Claire up and walks outside.
"What happened in there?" Sullivan asked.
Sofia walks into the truck and slams the door.

For the next few chapters should I make Sofia start struggling with her TBI? Like make her experience the symptoms more?
