The rain pelted the ground in heavy droplets. It was raining heavily outside, and the skies were only becoming darker.

It was close to three o'clock in the morning when a particular loud clap of thunder had woken up the seven year old who was peacefully sleeping in her bed.

The seven year old sat up in her bed, looking towards her window that was for some reason opened, her curtains flying wildly from the strong winds of the storm outside.

The seven year old wiped the sleep from her eyes and she moved the cover from her body and slid down from her bed, making her way over to her window to close it.

She reached up to bring her window down, when something caught her attention.

She had realized that the skies were beginning to turn red. It looked so unnatural and it made her very curious that she couldn't take her eyes off of the sky.

She watched as the clouds begin swirl together, when suddenly something shot from the clouds.

It had looked like a ball of red fire had shot across the skies and disappeared into nothing.

The seven year old stood watching out of the window with her mouth hanging wide open, when there was a sudden crash that shook the whole house, making her scream out in fright.

She turned from the windows and ran to her bed and climbed back up on it. She got back under the covers, and peeked her eyes out, staring out of the window.

Staring out of the window for over thirty minutes, the seven year olds eyes begin to droop as the sleep had caught back up to her.

Her eyes begin to close.

And she fell asleep once more.
